Easily some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Service is just a little slow. Our server took a while to take our order but the food was outstanding and we will definitely be back

Update: Today was me and my husband’s 3rd time here and we drove over 30 minutes for breakfast that left more to be desired. We basically order the same thing every time we go, and today it really fell short. He really had a taste for the spicy avocado toast, which is usually fantastic. Today there was barely any hot honey on the toast and the avocado was completely rubbery. My banana walnut pancakes came out really overdone. When they brought out the new order of pancakes, they were better but when I started to spread around the whipped substance that I thought was butter- I realized it was actually whipped cream and when I told the server I am lactose intolerant, she said “oh”. She brought out some butter but that was the complete wrong response. This is our second time having her as a server and we haven’t been a fan of her service either time. She rushes when taking our order and isn’t very accommodating. The young lady who brought out the food was really nice though, that’s who got me the new order of pancakes. The bacon was really tough and we could barely bite into it. Also, this is the second time we’ve sat in the back room where you can see into the kitchen and my husband has noticed something unsanitary done by the kitchen staff both times. The first time, the male cook had his apron/stomach touching the food and today the person making the eggs wiped someone’s omelette plate with the same rag she was wiping the dirty counter with. Great local spot for breakfast & lunch on the quaint main street through Morristown.

I have been several times for breakfast. The menu is short, but has great choices. There is a separate lunch menu.

My favorite breakfast is the Huevos Con Salsa (pictured), which is sort of like Huevos Rancheros served on a bed of potatoes (instead of a soggy tortilla). For protein it has bacon that has been cut up (instead of greasy chorizo). The cilantro sprigs add a nice flavor. The homemade salsa is tasty, but not hot. They have hot sauce if you want to add more spice.

I'm a savory guy, so my second favorite is the build-your-own omelette (also pictured). You choose 3 items. I always get tomatoes, spinach and avocado (upcharge). I also ask for hot sauce, which comes in a small container. It's flavorful and fairly hot.

Also pictured: A standard bacon, eggs & potatoes breakfast (which I always get on my first visit to a new spot). The bacon was notably better than in most diners.

You can get fancy coffee like an iced latte. The regular coffee is good, but the cups have a small handle that's hard to hold.

The outside patio is restful and fun to watch people go by on Main St (per photo, when Pepsi truck is gone). It's dog & kid friendly. On sunny days you may want to ask for a table that's shaded.

I haven't sat inside, but it looks charming. However, it can be crowded. It's an old building, and they've done a great job utilizing the space.

Josie at the cubby hole was incredible. Gave her my quick list of allergies and she was ready for the challenge. She looked over the menu and told me which items were going to be safe and which ones they could make modifications to if I wanted. I also gave her a few options of the lattes that I was interested in and told her to surprise me with whichever one was going to be safe for me. She went back and said she triple checked ingredients to ensure I would have a safe dining experience. She was extremely personable and helpful not only to me but all the guests she interacted with. She made me feel like I walked into her home full of love and joy. I’m so glad I took the chance to pull over and come into this establishment. It’s hard going to places with food allergies. You do not always feel welcome or protected. I came for a potential caffeinated beverage but I stayed because of her phenomenal hospitality. I ended up getting the mocha latte- delicious I felt like I was back in my childhood having a lovely chocolate milk but with a kick of caffeine.
