Morehead City Public Library — Attraction in Morehead City

I am sitting in the parking lot. Just went inside. A dog unnattended was tied to one of the computer chairs, exactly where I needed to go with my fully trained service dog. The dog went nuts over my dog and nearly turned a chair over to get to her barking! I had to step outside. I am a disabled veteran. This is rampant in the city of Morehead. The owner came out with the dog and insisted that her dog was friendly and tried to bring it over to my dog, which is definitely not acceptable for service dogs. I went back in to find the two ladies at the front desk laughing. I asked if they were service dog only. They didn't seem to know and immediately defended their friend who comes "everyday" with her non service dog. I just moved here six months ago. I am at a loss as to where I can go in this city anymore. I needed to print out important paperwork as I have no printer. Don't come to this library if you're a disabled veteran. They do not care! They will laugh you...

This public library is amazing! It’s a library of quality over quantity. I like that I don’t have to look far and skim through a million books to find a read I will enjoy because the book choices are intentional, of quality, and what the people want to read! They even take book requests and will buy the book for library which is really cool! Sometimes in really large libraries, I drown in just endless choices of books with 90% of the options that I won’t like and have a hard time finding something and leave. Love the new building even though the old one was so cool. Only a block away sits the new library which at one time was Town hall, And even the Jail/prison (since been redone). You can listen to books on tape through their app and rent movies and books of course. But very nice and more modernized. A really pleasant surprise. So go grab a library card. Because your not cool until you have a library card! Hello!? Go check it out! You'll thank me for it once you see what they offer in there!...
