This is the 3rd time I have gone to the Seafood Festival in Morehead City and it was great! It seems to have grown every time I go but they have been able to accommodate the bigger crowds by offering shuttle buses and extra parking. The food is what you would typically get at a fair but with a coastal seafood flare. The "resident" restaurants have specials and their food is great year round so that's a definite plus. Several captains from Wicked Tuna Outer Banks made an appearance and they were very friendly and would talk to you without it feeling like you were wasting their time. The crafts and vendors were plentiful and most stuff seemed priced well. This year has the inaugural Port of Pours which had 15+ beer vendors with 50+ beers for sampling. It was the first time they did it so there were a couple bugs they need to work out for next year but overall it was a great experience! Definitely going again!

The infiltration of fair style food/venders makes me miss the Seafood of years past. Finding a shrimp burger, crabcake burger or oysters fritters proved to be difficult. Commercial food vendors with fair classics like: Funnel cakes, grilled corn, Turkey leggs, fried oreos, cotton candy, candy apples and such, have taken over. There still are some local artisans/craft vendors there at least. Also, save your ten bucks and park for free at the port and ride the shuttle or trolley.

Amazing Experience. Lots of choices for seafood at great prices. Alot of church organizations, teams, outreach programs that cook. A few independent food vendors, promotional advertisement from local businesses and dealerships. Things you need for your home like art decor, pet supplies, house hold goods, etc. You can sit in a new car, after trying local wines, finally buy a new necklace, there is so much to do. There is live music, people preaching at you with bull horns. It's so much fun the fireworks over the water is amazing. I rode on a two hour boat ride and got to experience the sky twinkle all for $15. If your riding the boats book early. A few things l ate... Alligator bites are amazing Seafood stuffed baked potato...OMG Bacon wrapped scallops...wow Shrimp burger from Sammy's, l wish l had one right now Deep Fried cheesecake.... LIFE CHANGING Crab Dip pretzel is good make but sure the pretzel is fresh though Roasted Corn on the Cob... Praise the Lawd My blooming onion was a delight Crab bisque....yummy in my tummy Overall this is a fantastic event this was my second time coming and it was even better than last year. I can't wait...

I went on Friday and it was typical festival atmosphere. Some high points for me were the wine tasting . They had 2 chefs preparing various things from a set menu that you could watch him prepare and eat , I believe that was $25 You can go on a boat ride for an hour which is 10. A person. There's also a boat ride with seafood dinner menu and that's a bit more. Parking was not hard to find but a lot of places did charge anywhere from 10 to 20 dollars. They had rides for kids. Lots of vendors. There are restaurants if you don't want to eat from a food truck. I will go next year but a...
