The Bijou Theatre — Attraction in Morristown

This is a very nice theater. With 4 screens, they always have a nice variety. What I like best is their start times are usually fairly close. Which allows me to take my son and his friends to see one movie [last sat it was "hobs and Shaw] and my daughter and her friends to see another [last sat it was the new lion king] without having to make a ton of trips. They offer a senior discount, which my father likes and it is kept very clean both in the theaters and in their bathrooms. What I don't like is the ticket prices slowly going up. Not too long ago a show before 6pm was 4dollars now it's about 7dollars. And like every theater the popcorn and drinks are very pricey. Sadly this prevents us from going as often as we would like. Also every person I've ever spoken to was very polite and helpful. Over all the good points easily out weigh the the bad....

Bijou gets a decent amount of interesting movies. Enough to entertain me, but damn is it cold in there. I have complained about it more than once. This last time, I was watching Black Phone 2. Well, the plot was all in snow and ice, so I guess it was like an immersive experience. I heard another patron rubbing his/her hands. I made it through the whole film suffering like the characters did in the frigid cold. Maybe, it's a catch 22. They can't afford to fix the heating because they dont have enough patrons, but they don't have enough patrons to be able to heat the place. Once, I was there during a blizzard, and the guy comes in and makes an announcement that they finally got the heat on. Holy cow! The movies are good. Tuesdays are $5, but remember to bundle up if...

Is a big 5. Visit before it's gone. $14 for 2 movie tickets. $12 for large popcorn, and two boxes of candy. I can dig that. Small theaters that add to the experience, it was a Star Wars movie so it was about experience and seeing it here was almost the same as seeing it when the original came out. So if you're looking for a straight technically cinematic and cutting edge audio video experience this is not the place. But there are plenty of places like that.
