10 Railroad Street — Restaurant in Morristown

Stopped in on a recent Friday night and had a wonderful time. We had been here once before in 2020 and remember it being good, but nothing spectacular. It seems like they may have a new chef or some other changes since then, because this time was fantastic! I've been lucky enough to live in some of the best culinary cities in the country, and now living in Vermont I sometimes miss having access to tons of great restaurants, so when I do find a gem I make sure to remember it. I will remember this one!

We came around dinnertime on a Friday night and all the tables were fully booked for the night. We didn't expect that and didn't have a reservation, but were able to snag a seat at the bar. Duly noted to make reservations for future visits. Everything was all-around excellent — beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked and pleasing presentation. The only slight criticism I would have is, given the obvious skill of the kitchen, it would be nice if they served a few more creative dishes. Plenty of places in this area serve fish and chips or burgers and you'll probably pay a few bucks less, though I found the portions and quality here more than justified the slightly higher pricing. Drinks were delicious too, and beautifully presented. Nice atmosphere....

Clean outside and inside. The inside of this restaurant is very well kept. We met the owner , polite , professional, definitely cares about his restaurant. You can tell by the food and service.

Family style restaurant here , they have a bar in the middle. Good for couples , you could possibly use this place for business meetings as well. Handicap accessible. Free parking. Don't forget your mask 😷

For the appetizers we didn't know what to expect, and WOW they were they good.

The meals forget about it 😂 every bite was delicious, hats off to the cook here he or she really knows what they are doing.

From the service, to plate presentation, the food quality , it was all there.

Definitely definitely stop by here if you are in the area , it's well worth your time.

This was our third time coming here. The first time was when it first opened and we were not impressed at all. The second time we came we waited for then minutes and nobody came to seat us so we left. The sign says wait to be seated. We decided to try it once more due to it was -30 with wind chill and we did not want to go to far from home. The food this time was very good, my wife had a cheese steak and I had the fish and chips. My fish was delicious but was given a very small portion of tartar sauce which was gone after finishing only half. I requested more and the waiter promptly delivered. My only problem was that when the check came they charged me $1.00 for another very small helping of tartar. I have never went to any restaurant and been charged extra for a condiment. Ketchup and mustard sits on the bar for free. After finally having a good experience here it was diminished by penny pinching management. What's next paying for salt and pepper? My check was over $80.00 without tip. I think they can afford to give enough tartar...
