If I could give 0 stars I would. We wanted a mattress with an adjustable base because I have horrible heart burn that keeps me trying to sleep sitting up half the night. The salesman talked us into a "split king" (2 bases and 2 twin xls side by side) which sounded great until we actually took them home. PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM TALK YOU INTO THIS IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT A SUPPORTIVE BED AND TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP NEXT TO YOUR PARTNER. First of all the bases are total junk. This is extremely disappointing since we spent about 2k on bases alone and we bought pretty much the most expensive ones! They are horrible quality and feel like they are going to fall apart. They're flimsy, cheap, and look ridiculous under the mattress. They also don't stay in place which leads me to the second problem. By the morning there is a giant hole in the middle of both beds meaning you'll never be able to cuddle with your partner or even use any of their side of the bed! You also risk falling on the floor while sleeping. The bases are supposed to lock in place but that doesnt stop them from moving! My husband tried to use our old base to add more support and now the mattresses just push apart so there's still a huge hole. The final problem is the salesman never told us these weren't returnable! He told us all about how we could return the mattresses if we weren't happy but never mentioned we couldn't return the bases! How convenient. Who would return the mattress and keep the 2k worth of bases which are now useless to me?? PLEASE DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP!! Sleep Number has a split king that is actually a king and is attached and just the top head part is adjustable! Their bases also don't look like trash and are quality and supportive. My husband and I prefer pillowtop mattresses, so that's really what we we were interested in and what we were intending to purchase. However, when the salesman saw us mulling the pillowtop type, he asked, "Can I ask you why you want pillowtop and not the plush?"
My husband replied, "Because I don't like the feel of the plush - the edge of the bed isn't the same."
The salesman then told us that there is "virtually no difference between the plush and pillowtop", which is completely untrue.
My husband again explained to the young man that we prefer the feel of pillowtop and don't like the feel of plush mattresses.
Unbelievably, the salesman angrily counters with, "With all due respect, I didn't just start working here yesterday!"
My husband said, "Well, I didn't just start sleeping yesterday, either."
And with that, we said good day and told the gentleman we wouldn't be needing his help and started to leave. During this entire exchange, there was another salesperson (a lady), sitting across the store. She quickly asked if she could help us, but by that time the damage was done. I'm sure she could verify the exchange.
My husband and I went right up the road and purchased a set from a different mattress chain and were much happier with the experience. The store had a wider selection, better prices, and the staff were pleasant and well versed in their job.

He was the nicest person, told me about the two bases I was looking at and didnāt make me feel pressured at all about picking the more expensive base. However, they didnāt have the mattress I had been looking for so instead of just trying to make a sale, he sent me to the Mount Laurel store where they have a larger selection. He called ahead and made sure they knew I was on my way and what I was interested in. This right here stood out to me, because I have been to other places before and they will say ANYTHING to make a sale. So I went over to the Mount Laurel store and met Cosmo. I had already been impressed with their customer service, but I was blown away by how attentive and honest he was. I didnāt feel like he was pushing anything, he encouraged me to try the model I was looking for, which was the purple 4, but also encouraged me to try the purple 3 as well which would have been less of a sale for him. In the end I got the base and mattress that I wanted, he made sure he could find any deals he could for me and I never felt pressured.
