My husband & I stayed here to attend a family wedding in Moorestown NJ. We weren't expecting much; just your usual soul-less fare off noisy depressing highways.
The hotel was quite nice!! Professional, but with a warmth too, not just some corporate icebox. The desk staff was friendly, rooms clean. And the cleaning staff was QUIET! We were there 2 nights and I didn't hear any hallway shouting over vacuum cleaners, etc. This really makes a difference! The cleaning staff were friendly too — there's nothing more depressing than a grouchy, frowning cleaning staff. You end up feeling like it's a horrible place to work, and people are unhappy.
The rooms were simple but sort of sleek — decent "L" shaped couch and little tables, a small but workable desk area. Little niche w. coffee maker, refrig (no freezer), microwave. Closet had some good practical shelves in it, loads of real wooden hangers. Comfortable bed with great little attached reading spotlights on each side, besides the lamp on the bedside table. Loads of pillows, thick comforter. NO STARCH SMELL!! Nice bathroom, ENOUGH TOWELS, and soft at that — my only complaint was there was no tub. "Chubs" seem to be the thing now. Why? Must be a cleaning issue, easier for staff. I miss tubs when I'm traveling. The other thing that seems to ubiquitous in hotels these days is non-opening windows. This must be a security/insurance issue. But it would be so nice if you could at least just crack a window a little and get some real air in a room! But the room didn't feel tight and cramped, everything was well appointed. All these little seemingly trivial details totally add up if you're tired, sore/stressed from driving or in a bad mood.
The lobby had a small respectable bar, friendly bartender. Lots of comfortable chairs for hanging out. Decent (B+) free breakfast buffet, not the usual totally dried-up horrible cereal stuff etc. Tiny pool, but good for therapy, soaking if you're road weary, open til 11. Small gym, but it's there, same late hours.
So . . . it's not a chic city hotel, but it's absolutely FINE — a crisp, clean & comfortable place to stay when you need to stay in this area! It's very...
It was nice walking in but I believe mr.baldhead needs some customer service training was greeted with a comment “ Must be travel light” then offered to help me push the cart and still made very unprofessional comments “ so are you living here”. I believe this is very unprofessional and uncalled for keep comments to yourself I was traveling with a family of 3 and a baby. Later that same day there was a women staging room service went into her room while she was gone, while having the DND sign up then stating she had items missing. I personally experienced this with my clothes and was kicked out because they did not want to show footage of where my clothes could be. Overall very disappointing I felt as the black women with glass older lady was very antagonizing they kicked me out and trespassed me for a situation I wasn’t even on the premises. I booked for 21 days they cut it to 9 days. Back to the lady very rude unprofessional and shouldn’t be any where near customer service. I was getting my stuff out and she proceeded to keep asking I need the carts, I need the carts you have to take your stuff off and pointing and showing no kind of human person just a old bitter lady. The manager white lady with black glass need some training to on customer service I have a whole recording of our interaction I hope to get a email back a have it reviewed. The only thing I could say was great was one of the workers for the hotel light skin with braid was very nice and a understanding human and even offered to help me get to my next place with ALL MY STUFF OUTSIDE ON THE COLD HARD GROUND. As if I was not a paying and very quiet customer. Once again to the guy very much appreciated only person who honestly handled the situation with experience and professionalism. I even had a conversation the night before asking mr.baldhead what happened with my clothes and the situation never said anything about early checkout or I’m getting treasspassed very weird business here. And still haven’t had a update on my clothes that were missing way before getting kicked out, not letting me post the video so please reach out/back. Once again this place for my personal experience...
Read moreOur stay here at the Springhill Suites in Mount Laurel/Cherry Hill has been a mixed bag. One thing we did not appreciate when making the booking is that the “suites” here are still one large room. There is a divider between a sitting area and the two queen beds, but aside from the bathroom and a largish walk-in closet, there is no separation between rooms in the “suite.” We are traveling with children, and thought we were booking a room we could isolate the little one in to put her to sleep separately from our older kids, but that isn’t possible - the entire family should expect to wake up and go to sleep at the same time if you are staying here. ||On top of that, the hotel appears to have booked a large, unruly group that they are completely unable to control. There are packs of 6-10 kids running up and down the halls with no parental supervision, knocking on random doors and running away. We called the front desk and asked them to do something after we were woken up this morning and were told “sorry, there’s nothing we can do - we already asked the group to stop.” This is after I almost got knocked down the stairs by a swarm of children yesterday. We got chased out of the pool yesterday when another group of unparented kids swooped in and started loudly screaming and doing cannon balls. ||I get that it may be difficult to manage a large group, but isn’t it the responsibility of the hotel to look out for ALL of their guests? The free breakfast was quite picked over, with no more milk/chocolate milk when we came down at 8:30 and it seems they didn’t anticipate the impact the large group would have for other guests. ||In all, the price was right (we booked with credit card points) and the rooms were clean, but I don’t think I would...
