We had a flood and lost all of our computers with all of our business accounting. I decided to use an online service to be safe. So I purchased QBO online and chose the Essentials version and paid my monthly payment. I have spent the last 2 months importing everything I could to current into QBO including numerous accounts which import every day. We lost 5 years and the older years on some accounts have to be manually recreated. I have the first year that was lost almost half way done. I signed on this past Wednesday only to find my QBO was not working and there was a message saying to give them my bank card info again. I entered the info and nothing changed. I tried again only to get a "something is not quite right" error. I have spent days on the phone with QB's and all they can tell me is I have to wait a week for them to fix it. They also said "you are not the only one with this problem". How does a business shut down their accounting program for a week? These businesses are paying employees to work daily to do work orders, enter inventory, do invoicing, accounts payable, track funds and payroll etc. How are all these employees doing their jobs without access to QBO. The fact that QB's expects these businesses to just stop everything for a week has to be financially crippling for all. The QB's rep told me my trial ended and that's why it was turned off. TRIAL?? I thought I purchased it for a monthly payment and it would continue until I stopped it. I did not receive any emails not even when I set it up. They took the money and apparently they did not do any more payments. I have not received any correspondence telling me my "TRIAL" was ending and to make payments. No contact telling me it would be shut down. NOTHING!! I talked to them yesterday and I got the same answers. This is costing me money everyday that I go without it and they...
Read moreIntuit as a whole is greedy. The only thing they care about is selling their next service. My case in point today: QuickBooks Payments. My client paid me via QuickBooks Payments on September 1. Two weeks later and that payment is still on hold. Intuit's been collecting interest income on my money... all because I refuse to take their easy route of opening a QuickBooks Checking Account. When I'm paid by any other payment processor the experience is seamless and the money is deposited to my bank account in 2-5 business days. QuickBooks, however, makes this as PAINFUL as possible if the money is going to any bank other than their own. I have chatted online with two different CSRs -- both have assured me the issue was resolved -- and today, I finally went the phone call route and got the same drivel. All I can do now is wait another day or two to see if the deposit is taken off hold, and if so, then to see if it makes it to my bank account. And if not? I don't know. I guess I'll finally given in and open a damn QuickBooks checking account even though I don't want one. // Edit 1: The only real progress I made today, 14-Sep-2023, is that by complaining three times in two days got my case escalated to the priority list. Apparently, it takes an hour of being grumpy with their CSRs to have a complaint looked at by someone who can actually take action. I'll post Edit #2 once something more happens...
