BEWARE: Scam company! I paid for furniture over 20 weeks ago! The receipt said 4-8 weeks for arrival. The local store won’t issue a refund and said I need to contact corporate for a refund via email since they don’t have a phone number for corporate. Really? The local store also said that they have no idea when the furniture will arrive but it’s not anytime soon. I emailed corporate over a month ago requesting a refund with no reply. My next step is to contact the local police department for fraud/theft. You’ve been warned. Stay away from this company unless you like donating to charlatans.
Update: I spent an hour and a half at the store today between waiting on and dealing with Tony, the manager. At first, Tony agreed to try to refund me but said his credit card machine was down and he wouldn’t give a cash refund. While waiting, I began speaking to another customer who had been waiting 7 months for his furniture. I mentioned to that customer that my next step was to contact the police Dept. This upset Tony and he said he could issue a refund but he was not going to now because he didn’t like me saying that I was going to contact the police. I wonder why Tony has an aversion to the police? So I did contact the police department. The officer that arrived was very professional and helpful, and now Tony is claiming he will refund me within the next 24hrs. I will be back at the store tomorrow to see if he keeps to his word.
It’s worth noting that Tony was dishonest with the officer and claimed that I was screaming and yelling as soon as Tony arrived. He also said that he was willing to issue the refund but I called the cops on him anyway. Unfortunately for Tony, I was recording our conversation with my phone. After Tony lied to the officer, I announced that I was recording our conversation with my phone. He quickly said I was not allowed to record in his store. But again, unfortunately for Tony I had started recording earlier before he even arrived because an employee was giving me an attitude from the start and I figured this is how it would go. That employee said, “you can record whatever you want.” So I already had permission to record. Interesting though....I wonder why he didn’t want our conversation being recorded? Consider that before buying from Just Furniture.
update: Tony did issue my refund today...20 weeks and 4 days and 6 hours after my initial purchase. I have no doubt if I wouldn’t have taken the step of getting the police department involved, I would still be getting the run around. My advice to everyone is to go anywhere else. But if you’re feeling adventurous and simply must purchase from Just Furniture, make sure you use a credit card that allows you to dispute transactions and keep your receipt. You’ll thank me later for this advice.
Final update: Since Just Furniture felt the need to reply with lies, I will respond to set the record straight. I NEVER threatened anyone in your store. I have a recording of my entire conversation with your staff up to the time the police department showed up proving I was cordial but firm in my demand for my money back. There’s a police report showing the interaction between me and your staff. If your staff was threatened, why wasn’t it reported to the officer whom I requested when he arrived?
I waited for over a month for a refund and only received it when I got the police involved. Your manager ABSOLUTELY told me he could refund me but wasn’t going to because he wasn’t happy with me complaining with another customer while I was waiting on the police to arrive. He made this same claim in front of the police but changed his tune quickly when the officer said he couldn’t just keep my money. I’ve spoken with others who have waited longer than me. Your store is run very poorly and the employees are disrespectful and dishonest.
Maybe instead of trying to defend your lousy customer service and policies you should spend time trying to improve your business. Customers can see the trend of numerous similar complaints. Trying to deny it will...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 star review I would! This place is terrible. My daughters went here looking for a bedroom set. The head of the store, Gal, was trying to make a deal with them. He pushed them into the deal without even giving a total price. When he did, he rushed them into the purchase and then proceeded to leave them to answer a phone call while they were left there confused paying for the items. My husband and daughters went to pick it up from half an hour away. This was no big deal as we have a spacious van. We waited an hour there because the poor workers had no idea what was going on. They went all around the warehouse trying to find our furniture. After they got it they went home and began to unbox it. This is where more problems begun. The dresser drawer had a whole in it, the back of the dresser was a thin piece of "wood" and was sticking out, a piece on the headboard was of centered, and there was no place to screw the mirror into place. All of these issues are a manufacturer error and there is no possible way my family and I could do this. The piece on the headboard was glued on, so there is no way we could have damaged it. After realizing it was a waste of money, we called. We had to wait around an hour for Gal to call us because he was "crazy" busy. When he did we tried to explain what happened, he told us that we would have to wait 1-2 weeks for new furniture. At this point we had torn the room apart just for the furniture. We were expecting good quality items, but got the opposite. We let him know that my husband had to make some holes just to put it together. He proceeded to act like it was fine and said "see it was fixed there was no problem then", even though we paid $1,100 dollars just for my husband to fix their mistakes. He said that it was our fault because we did not spend the extra money to get it delivered. He continuously blamed us for the damage that was caused when. It didn't even make sense. He said that during our transport the glue must have melted and made the piece on the headboard shift. WHAT? How does that even make sense? The van was air conditioned and him delivering it to us, wouldn't the same thing happen??? Gal said on the phone that he would not give us a penny back and we could either exchange it or go to court. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE? What professional owner says that to a customer and provides no other options, like possibly a partial refund. At that point I had to hang up because I was beyond furious. My husband is currently wasting his time fixing the pieces that are defective and Gal will be hearing from us, but not in a positive way. I would recommend the furniture place across the road, Rotana Furniture. These people are kind and understanding. If something is wrong they will help and they give better deals on furniture. Even if they don't have something in stock they will order it. Kyle, the owner of Rotana Furniture, is so kind and is very professional. Please do not go to Just Furniture, you will be doing...
Read moreWe went to the furniture back on Memorial weekend and found the perfect match for our living space. The manager Tony was extremely helpful and placed the order for us himself. We were told our two piece would be ready in 2 wk and would receive a call. We did not receive that call and thought they were behind on orders. (No big deal, we would wait until they called us) Well, a month approached us so I called the store and found out they were behind due to Covid and was told it should be ready in 2 wks, Ok, two weeks pass no phone call so I called again, and the woman I spoke to told me very unpleasantly " I already told you it wasn't in the last time You called" Right, but now it's another two weeks past and I'm checking again. She was not very customer friendly however, the manager heard her and got on the phone. Toni, was very nice and could not believe we were waiting since May. He gave me his cellphone number and asked that I send him a picture of our invoice and he would take care of it. Ok great. I thought I was getting somewhere. Nope, I was then told the furniture was not going to be ready for pickup until September 22. It is July !!! are you kindling me!!!! Well since we liked the furniture and already paid for it, I guess we are stuck waiting, September pickup time was here so I thought, I called the store and was told they do not have the furniture but Toni, said it would be there in two weeks and that we can come get it on on October 15 just to be sure. Well I had surgery on October 13th and on the 15th we called the store and no answer on Saturday October 17th called the store and again no answer. I text message Toni since he said to do so anytime and was told "she" will be calling soon. My husband received a call and was told the furniture was not in but we can come for it on October 22nd. Since I am not able to lift we waited until today October 24th to get a trailer to pick it up. I just called the store and was told they only have one piece and the other one should be there on Tuesday. Are you kidding me!!! I was told to just come out on the 22nd of September and the 22nd of October for pickup. Now we have to wait another week because we will not only making a trip for one piece, we need assistance from others and a trailer: We never received an explanation or a decent phone call. I hope the second piece comes in this week so we can be done with this store. Funny thing is friends of ours ordered the same piece at a different store and received it in two weeks. What a shame for a local business to be like this. I don't see them lasting to much longer. Fingers crossed that they have both...
