We hosted a birthday party in cabin 5. I can only rate what we saw and used. It was a rainy, windy day so we didn't use the park or playground. Just the one cabin and the bathrooms. The cabin was nice. Nothing spectacular or anything. The fireplace stone was pretty. The bathrooms were cleaner than I had expected! I was impressed!

Great park to have a picnic or take a walk. Very clean fun atmosphere for the whole family! They're rural log cabins are beautiful and make a wonderful place for birthday parties and family gatherings! They even have grills and the larger one has a kitchenette. Would be a great place for a wedding or graduation party.

Heekin Park is nice, but I am sad to see so many of the trees being cut down. Still, there are lots of cabins here that you can rent, for reunions or even weddings. Summertime may pose a bit of a problem as the last time I checked, the cabins were not air conditioned, so if you're there on a really hot day, it might be wise to bring lots of fans. I do believe that they are heated in the winter months. A very nice park and if they STOP cutting down the trees, the foliage is nice for...

Heekin Park, a nice place, with a well formed past reputation of conflict. I love this park, and every time I visit, it looks a bit nicer. It does my heart good to see it turn up and become the bit of a gem that it can be. The community deserves that. Even to this day, Muncie is more segregated than I'd like, and it can reek of class-ism too at times, that division. Places like Heekin Park, have the potential to be symbolic of common ground is a sometimes troubled community....
