I got my engagement ring from Zales and had to take it back in for repair multiple times within the first two years after losing a diamond, the prongs snagging, etc., which means they send it out of state to Texas to be fixed. After it came back from repair this last time and still wasn’t fixed, my husband and I searched for someone local and found J. Mullins. Gerret, the jeweler, really took the time to inspect it and assess WHY I kept having issues with it. He offered to adjust it for me, but clearly explained because of the way it was designed I would continue to have the same problems with it unfortunately. Even though this wasn’t the news we expected, it was the first time we got to speak about these issues with a jeweler face to face (not just a sales person) and get real feedback about my ring. So happy I came to Mullins! I took my engagement ring to Bell jewelers twice to be fixed because one of the diamonds kept falling out. Despite, their efforts it continued to fall out. I called around in search of someone else who could maybe actually fix it. I was told by several jewelers I needed to just buy a new one, which they were willing to sale. Mullins asked me to bring it in so they could evaluate it. Come to find out the reason the diamond kept falling out was because Bell jewelers was gluing a diamond back in place. I am a nurse, and I alcohol my hands hundreds of times a day. This was dissolving the glue. Bell jewelers never once explained they didn't have the capability to actually fix this type of invisible setting. They just kept taking my money without any guarantee. Mullins explained exactly what needed to be done. They actually have someone who specializes in this type of setting. & I am SO HAPPY to say my diamond has remained in place. I went into Mullins to inquire about something custom. Walking in I was treated like a long lost friend. Then when I met the Jeweler to discuss my project again he treated me like I was the most important customer they'd ever had. As I was walking out the door I guess the owner walked in again he treated me like I was a long lost customer. I haven't gone ahead with the project yet but I know when I do pull the trigger on it ,Mullins Jeweler will be the place I'll get it done. I was so impressed with the level of customer service there. Okay here is the update, I pulled the trigger and had my custom ring made. It was a ring my grandpa wore and I wore and another ring that my father wore. Three of us wore two of these rings, they're both long gone so I wanted to have something to remember both guys from. The results on this were spectacular I couldn't be happier.
