Yesterday we had a terrible experience here with the manager Deborah (at the time we did not know she was the manager until after I got her name). Saturday around 2pm my fiancé and I were in with our daughter who has autism and she is 6years old. about 10minutes in she started to shut down because of how busy it was (there were 3 party’s going on) and she was putting her head down on the matt which were nasty so I quickly acted and got sensory input on her i was bouncing the mat by my knees bending. I was bouncing her up and down with her butt and my feet never left the surface and she also never lost balance. Very light bounces like a baby bouncer would do. At that point the manager blew her whistle at us told us to quit double bouncing and we said she is fine with a smile and we were not double bouncing. We continued on. I continued giving her bounces to help her get out of the funk she was in. She was smiling and flapping her hands (happy stimming) and The lady came up to us again and told us we need to stop or we can leave. Now I understand if we were putting her danger someone should say something but we were not putting her any danger. I can give you the definition of double bouncing. Double bouncing: If another person lands on the trampoline just before the first person would have, the springs and fabric are compressed further, storing even more potential energy. When the trampoline springs back up, this increased potential energy is released, propelling the first person (and potentially the second) higher than they would have otherwise. Nothing even close to double bouncing was happening I was standing on the mat as she was sitting with her legs straight out and i was bouncing the mat by my knee bending, her butt never left the surface. We were not playing “popcorn” or anything dangerous at all that would be insanity. She was happy and not in any type of danger besides this lady screaming at her parents. We were asked to leave again when I told her over and over again this was NOT double bouncing. We felt we were targeted and the reason I say that is While we were there, there were teenagers running through the park and doing gymnastic flips which actually include doing double jumps and they did not get told to stop. There were children who were not being watched, jumping together on the same square (which to her is considered double jumping) or other kids coming onto my daughters square which resulted in having to get her to stop so she doesn’t hurt another child or herself. It honestly was no big deal as kids are kids. But when we get told to stop “double jumping” when all I was doing was getting sensory input in on my child. I wasn’t double jumping I know the dangers of l. Something has to change about this place, mainly the manger. I am absolutely sick over this. She claimed she cared about our child and told us “if you don’t stop that you’ll break her legs” which felt more like a threat the way she said it. My daughters butt wasn’t leaving the surface nor was my feet. when I told her the light bouncing is not going to break her legs quit implying I’m putting my child in danger and leave my alone. She told us we can leave “her facility” and if we don’t she will call the police. The manager, Deborah then went up to other parents and was pointing at us clearly talking about us to other parents and that felt extremely unprofessional. We have an elite membership but will be canceling it after this experience. This was absolutely not okay and...
Read moreIf you’re planning a birthday party or group outing and want an experience that’s worth every penny, skip this place and head straight to Urban Air in Holland (especially if you live in Grand Haven). The difference in service and overall experience is like night and day.
Here’s why Urban Air is the clear winner: When you book a private room, you actually get to enjoy it for the full duration of your event. None of this “one hour in the room and separate 2hr jump time where you’ll stand around awkwardly nonsense. Urban Air understands that parties are about celebrating comfortably, with time to relax, enjoy cake, and watch the kids have fun.
At Urban Air, kids can jump and play right away and continue beyond their party time. In contrast, at this place, you’re required to spend the first two hours jumping (with no access to the party room), leaving you stuck with your belongings on Costco-style racks and nowhere to sit (sorry grand parents). Once those two hours are up, you finally get access to the party room for one hour—but no more jumping is allowed during that time.
Urban Air offers a much better experience, with clean, spacious facilities thoughtfully designed for both kids and adults to enjoy. There’s plenty of seating, a variety of attractions, and a FRIENDLY staff that ensures your visit is completely stress-free.
Even if it’s a bit of a drive, it’s worth it for the better service, more activities, and a relaxed environment for everyone. Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Urban Air in Holland. It’s the better choice,...
Read moreWe just had our daughter’s birthday party here and I can’t say thank you enough! The kids had a blast! Brooke, our party coordinator was so helpful and there for us every step of the way. She made sure to confirm everything with me ahead of time. She had the room ready to go with everything we needed for the party. She helped everyone get checked in, served everyone pizza, provided anything extra we needed. The staff was also very accommodating. They could see that our guests were arriving and getting excited so they let us enter the park 15 min early which was nice. We also had a few minor injuries and they provided ice and band aides. They were super nice and helpful. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I was glad to not have to do clean up. I would definitely have another party here. I guess my only suggestion would be bring some bottled water if you get the package where you can bring outside food. I ended up buying bottled water there for guests and could have saved a little bringing my own. They provide pop but I wasn’t even thinking about how thirsty the kids would be half way through their jump time. Anyway, totally worth the money and...
