Seems to be that the place is nice to people that don't stay for an extended period of time. We were here because our house is being repaired and everything was fine for about a month. Then after that, people started looking at us funny. Was scolded by the manager because we didn't schedule a room cleaning purely accidentally. There were a few emergencies all together in the same week that happened and so we all forgot. We scheduled a room cleaning after forgetting to and then they denied we even tried to schedule one. Then we asked once again for the room to be cleaned. The manager came into our room and denied our room cleaning because we had our toiletries on the counter. We had them on the counter the first time and they just cleaned around them. So, I had to drive all the way back to the hotel to pack them away even though I was doing my job. The manager told us we're no longer allowed to eat breakfast in our room because "it could cause ants" - as if we weren't eating anything else in here??? Saw several other guests bringing breakfast to their rooms. Don't see why we were being treated like criminals. Especially considering about a week prior I watched the life cycle of a cheez-it laying on the floor in the hallway, being smashed and then the crumbs strewn all over the floor and yet no ants appeared. That cheez-it was there for 4 days. When she left the room to go get someone to clean it she then told me that they wanted to be there every 3 days to clean it whereas when I first met her, she was saying they need to get in here once a week. They were calling my mom up numerous times asking her if she's staying here. Obviously she's staying here, she has nowhere else to live. They accused her of not having us on the insurance policy even though she told them when we checked in that there would be 3 of us staying. Then, after I scheduled the next room cleaning, we were blamed for their broken sink even though it was broken when we got here. The only reason I think they noticed the sink is because the crack in it was dirty vs when we got here, it was clean. We were kicked out because they said the sink would cost $300 to repair. You know, the sink we didn't break? Why would we try to damage the room when we have nowhere else to go right now? You know what? I hope they decide to fix all the other issues in this room too such as the water damage where the fridge is sitting and the water damage above the shower and I hope they make it so the shower door ACTUALLY closes when you try to close it. By the way, a majority of the outlets are too loose for us to use. I don't understand why they suddenly decided to start acting crazy after we'd been there a month. It's not like we were doing...
Read moreDo not stay here unless it is a last resort. We booked this hotel for a baseball tournament because it was 7 mins from the field, which came handy.
We checked into our room and immediately we noticed large chunks of “something” in the carpet all across the room. My first thought was that it was maybe some debris or possibly from the ceiling but then I looked closer and saw that it was a cookies and cream candy bar smashed all across the the carpet. Then I noticed that the garbage cans in the room were still totally full. I went of the front desk and politely asked to switch rooms. They were kind at the desk and switched us to the room across the hall but then we walked in to find that it also wasn’t vacuumed and the garbage wasn’t changed. We didn’t complain again and accepted the room although my husband who is a professional in the window business noticed that the hotel had broken seals all around the building which were preventing the ac from keeping the rooms cool.
The breakfast was okay, pool was nice but when we went to shower we realized that there squeeze bottle of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and option in our room was completely empty.. I found this baffling considering that the conditioner that we have at home has lasted over 2 years. I ended up having to wash just hair and body with bar soap and went the next morning to ask for new shampoo and conditioner. The front desk stated, “yeah, we have a running list going” when it came to requests for shampoo.. so I added our room assured that we would have it taken place while we were out that day.
We came back later that day and no shampoo or soaps replaced at all. I went to the front desk yet again and he gave some lame excuse about how they only have two keys to replace the soaps in the rooms and the housekeepers get, “testy” about replacing them… he gave me some soaps but “couldn’t find” shampoo.
As we got ready to check out of the hotel, I made sure to pull off the bed sheets to make it easier for the housekeepers and low and behold there were multiple stains underneath the bedspread that we did not contribute to.. absolutely disgusting.
It’s obvious that the staff does not clean the rooms in this hotel properly. The floors in the rooms and main areas, staircases are disgusting and not vacuumed, trash cans are not changed in rooms, toiletries are not changed unless requested multiple times and the building is in need of repair. My guess is that the hotel chain is out of money and will be bought out soon but in the meantime is hanging in limbo. Be care of...
Read moreStaff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We felt very welcomed. However, housekeeping drops the ball. Room service is only available by request which is perfectly fine with us. We don't need room service every day. When we checked in we were pleased to see 4 towels and 4 washcloths since there were 4 of us in the room. Most hotels only do 3 of each which doesn't make sense to us. We checked in at night so we didn't notice anything out of sorts. The next morning, when showering, we noticed there was no body wash in the shower. It had been left empty from the last guest. There were also no Kleenex in the box and very little toilet paper. We got ready for the day and left to enjoy the beach. When we returned that afternoon, we realized housekeeping had been in even though we had not requested it. No biggie - fresh towels are nice even though we were fine with the other ones. However, that was all housekeeping did. They did not restock any of the shower liquids, Kleenex, or toilet paper. They also threw away our soap to wash our hands at the sink and did not replace it so now we had no soap. I went to the front desk and the staff member happily gave me soap and toilet paper and stated he would be up soon to restock the shower liquids. He never came (although that's house keeping's job, not his). We did not request housekeeping until our final night 2 days later. I let the front desk know during breakfast that we wanted housekeeping that day. Front desk worker stated she would let housekeeping know. We were out all day at the amusement park and returned to finds that our room had not been touched at all. Again, I went to the front desk and requested shower liquids, towels, toilet paper, etc. They again were happy to assist. So basically, the room was not restocked prior to our arrival, and during a 4 night stay, we could not get housekeeping service even when we asked and make several trips to the front desk to retrieve items.
On a side note: breakfast could be better. It was okay if you wanted waffles every day, but it would be nice to have a variety of different hot items. Eggs and sausage every day and those items were often burned or runny. We did waffles each morning but something different would...
