Our favorite dinner show we have to check out when we are in Myrtle Beach Sc is Dolly Partons Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show! They also have a second location in Pigeon Forge Tennessee (which we are super partial to the area being Tennesseans). We absolutely love this show and I highly recommend this for a fun night out. Would you love this show? Tag someone you would want to enjoy this show with 😉 😉. . . . #dinnershow #dollyparton #dollypartonchallenge #pigeonforge #myrtlebeach #piratesvoyage #familygoals #familyouting #familytravel #funforkids #experiencesoverthings #dinnerandashow #bringthekids #familyday #familyfun #familymeals #familyexperience #fulltimefamilieswithkids #fulltimetravel #fulltimervers

I would encourage people to read the negative reviews, I just got back from the show with my wife and 7 year old and I couldn’t agree more with most of these negative comments. First, we paid for 3 VIP seats in the front row, D1. Included was 3 digital photos (they start taking them of your party as soon as you walk in and make you feel like you’re at a wedding, very obnoxious) they then come around and sell you the actual photos for $30+ a pop lol. Second, don’t pay for VIP tickets, there’s zero VIP about it except a closer seat. We never got a cast member meet and greet which was part of what we paid for, you wait in a big line to get in like everyone else too, which is fine, but they make the VIP seem like a big deal for the cost and these lanyards you have to wear all night. When we arrived at the theater there was confusion about where to go and where to actually have that part of the VIP package that was a cast member meet and greet, it never happened, we still don’t know where we were supposed to go. Honestly, no big deal about that, just pure disorganization and staff being clueless. Third, the food is absolutely atrocious. Read the other negative reviews for more details. Dry, tasteless, made in bulk garbage. It’s really bad, not even decent. Fourth, VIP seats might be in the front row, but you don’t get an assigned seat, it’s first come first serve, we were jammed next to a heavy set woman and it wasn’t the best experience. She happened to get there before us and decided to plop herself with her daughter at an end seat. We were smothered in with her and its first come first serve seating I the entire row you’re in, even for a “VIP” seat. Finally, as another reviewer pointed out, hustling people for a far tip 5 minutes before the show ends is awful for all involved, staff and patrons. Just a stupid way to do that, you either forget it or try and jump over 200 people to get to an ATM at the end of the show. Finally, the show was great, but given the atrocious dinner and lack of organization from staff and management and all the above reasons, this experience should be avoided in Myrtle Beach. Way too expensive for the experience. If you want garbage food and a good show, buy the cheaper seats and go out to dinner after or avoid it all together!

🌊🏴‍☠️ **Attention Pirates Voyage Fans!** 🏴‍☠️🌊 I wanted to share my recent experience at Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, a place we’ve cherished for years! As loyal guests, it has always been one of our children’s favorite dining experiences. I've even hosted my company's award trip there, treating over 100 top performers to a fabulous night as I normally believe the show is great value and entertaining. This time was special as we celebrated our daughter’s birthday, and she chose to attend the show as her birthday dinner. Our visit was disappointing due to several factors. For nearly $400 for a family of five, we had obstructed views in the A1 section, making it hard to enjoy the performance. We could barely see the Christmas character or the festive pirate tree due to our seating arrangement. My kids even tried to stand on the walkway for a better look, but it didn’t help. To add to our frustration, I reached out to senior leadership via email but did not receive a response. When I spoke with the general manager of this location, they suggested purchasing more expensive seats instead of addressing our concerns. I challenged him to sit in that section as he told me many people request to sit there which I believe during the normal show to be true but the Christmas show the red ship is the primary ship used with the major character of the show on top of the ship and all the games on the emerald side played that would be front row for A1 are played at the opposite end of the arena making these seats a terrible location for this show. Additionally, the chicken served was not up to par—its texture was more like jerky. Having attended more than ten times, this experience was not what we anticipated. I really hope that Pirates Voyage considers marking obstructed view seating on their website and possibly offering those spots at a discounted rate. Wanted to share as it is a major spend for families and would hate to have others disappointed as ours was.

I was eager to see this show since I've heard great reviews on it! I had the VIP experience and sat front row! Now lets get down to the nitty gritty. *Most of the staff was fun, interactive, helpful and friendly...(I'll get back to this topic later on in the review)...The food was so-so. I liked the soup, baked chicken, and biscuit the best. I had a souvenir skull mug so I was able to get a upgraded (non alcoholic) beverage from the bar. I believe it was called the Buccaneer bash(?). It was good! Now for the show its self

I loved the show! They have some incredible athletes/gymnasts who have incredible skills and acrobatics! I loved the show/set design! The battle and challenge scenes were awesome as well! Especially when the actors got a chance to show off their athletic skills! The story is pretty easy to follow and they even have some interactive challenges for audience members (that have brought upgraded packages). The dogs and seals were adorable also! Everything was going great! Until....

Remember...I said I would get back to the topic of the staff...Well...My server was good...If you were white...I was the only woman of color/black woman on the front row (and as a matter of fact in the entire audience as I saw no one else that looked like me) which I don't mind, as I was there to enjoy the show like everyone else....Cool??? Cool? Right...Well my sever would only really interact with the white audience members that were sitting beside me on both sides (who were nice BTW) and down the row. I was very kind with him and said please and thank you...never gave him a attitude or anything...yet I still felt ignored/ push to the side. When the show ended and it came time to shake our server's hand, he skipped me and shook the hands of all the other white patrons...I still left him a tip...but that was very odd and kinda rude? I don't want to expose the guy since he's in college and working but come on man...Your slip was showing...be professional.... Other than that I had fun and would recommend! I Want to visit the other one in Pigeon Forge and see how that one stacks up to this one in Myrtle beach!

Edit: After much thought...The waiter's name was Nick. Perhaps Nick can leave his opinions at home and not bring them to his job to take out on *paying...

We originally booked crimson value o’clock show, but was Call the night before because they canceled the 8 o’clock show so we had to take the 6 o’clock show…. when we arrived, they couldn’t find our reservations. I’m assuming because they change the timing…. we sat down to have dinner. I didn’t realize that the mugs that I purchased online we did not receive. I asked my server about the mugs. She told me that I will have to get up and go to the front to receive the mugs. We were already sitting down. She said that she will get a manager to come over then she came back and said “oh you gotta go to the bar to get them” I was not making everyone get up just so I can go get the mugs so she said she will go get a manager AGAIN then came back and said “oh well I can’t find a manager”, so just go to the bar” I tried to show her where I purchased the mugs she said “well, it’s not that big of a deal”. They never sent a manager. Another employee came over and asked me what was the problem. I explained to them that I purchased the mugs but I’m assuming because when they change Our time that it didn’t show up I’m not sure but I have my receipt. He proceeds to have someone bring me two empty cups….. it was my son first time there, so I wanted him to enjoy the show. Otherwise I would’ve just left and asked for full refund. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the show. The food was great. He had a great time so we’re wrapping up dinner. I asked for an extra bag because he didn’t want to eat his apple turnover. He wanted to take it. I asked my server twice for the bag she never brought it. I then ask another server for a bag he never brought it. I Purchase value seating, and we were sitting off in the corner, so I know that’s not what I paid for….. Clearly once they cancel the 8 o’clock show they just put me in the seats that they had left….. when I expressed to the other employee that they sent over, that was not a manager that this was unacceptable and I was not happy with it he was just like well there’s nothing I can do about it that right there Let me know that he was on wasn’t a manager, and he didn’t know what to do at that point and I wasn’t going to see a manager about my complaints…..the worst...
