Our favorite dinner show we have to check out when we are in Myrtle Beach Sc is Dolly Partons Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show! They also have a second location in Pigeon Forge Tennessee (which we are super partial to the area being Tennesseans). We absolutely love this show and I highly recommend this for a fun night out. Would you love this show? My bf and I got lured into a timeshare presentation and our reward was 5 tickets to pirates for more than half off. I’ve been to medieval times in NJ so I kind of knew what to expect. We arrived right when they open at 4:30. We got good parking. We looked in the gift shop and then sat down. The room filled QUICKLY. The pre show was great! You don’t want to miss it. It was getting you prepared for the story line. Lots of audience interaction and laughs. After the pre show they move you upstairs to the show. There is an elevator. You sit anywhere you want in the section you got. All of the seating was wonderful but I suggest to sit closer to the top so you can see everything. They will also pull some kids and family from the audience to participate! Upon the show it started with parrots to grab your attention. There was A LOT of interaction. The mermaids, pirates, acrobats, gymnast, aerialist were all amazing. It was one of the BEST experiences I’ve been too. It is SO worth the price. I loved it. So many aspects of surprise as well. The food was great. Biscuit was buttery, the soup was ok. If you like the soup you can purchase at the gift store. The chicken was great a bit of a kick but not much. The ham was so great lots of flavor and juicy. I don’t like corn but there was corn and lastly dessert. You can choose between apple pie or coconut cake. My bf enjoyed the apple pie it was good! I loved my coconut cake. I also recommend getting a frozen drink as it does get a bit warm and you get a free drink cup from it. BRING TIP MONEY for your sever they work harder than anyone there. GET THERE EARLY. Kids can also get face painted and say hi to the mermaid. I have no words for how spectacular this show is. I love theatre and think this is a bit better. COME AND ENJOY!!!

Starting with a walk through pirates village. The actors were great and interactive, gave all the kids some fun from what I saw. Be sure to go even earlier than they say, have a proper moment to take photos and explore. The pre show was a lot of fun. There was a small sing a long, some limbo, and more! Mermaid photo opportunities! Arriving at our seats for the show start was the most complicated part, but then the staff did a fantastic job guiding everyone. The food was 10/10. You’d have to look at the website to see the 4 course meal, but it tastes better than you’d imagine a meal prepped for a crowd to taste. Especially the soup and chicken. Service was fantastic. Cassey did everything right for us and her “trainer” I guess (apologetically I can’t remember her name) was another win for servers everywhere. They had animals there. They look to be greatly cared for and that made me very happy. Not to mention how great they were at performing. From the 4 parrots to the 2 seals. I won’t spoil anything about the set, but it was fantastic and fun to watch change. The pool floored me with how often it was used and surprised. As for the show itself. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen. The only thing I wish I had was music sheets to follow along with the singing. The acrobatics were spectacular enough to get hearts racing and fear of heights occurring. Every moment too, the performers were looking and interacting with the crowd. My favorite was when Blackbeard waved to my mother and cheered/toasted me with a mug. The acrobats did the same as him greatly. It felt like every one of them was able to spot you out in a crowd and cheer along with you. They will definitely see you if you match their energy. I cannot praise this show enough. I can’t wait to go back!

🌊🏴☠️ **Attention Pirates Voyage Fans!** 🏴☠️🌊 I wanted to share my recent experience at Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, a place we’ve cherished for years! As loyal guests, it has always been one of our children’s favorite dining experiences. I've even hosted my company's award trip there, treating over 100 top performers to a fabulous night as I normally believe the show is great value and entertaining. This time was special as we celebrated our daughter’s birthday, and she chose to attend the show as her birthday dinner. Our visit was disappointing due to several factors. For nearly $400 for a family of five, we had obstructed views in the A1 section, making it hard to enjoy the performance. We could barely see the Christmas character or the festive pirate tree due to our seating arrangement. My kids even tried to stand on the walkway for a better look, but it didn’t help. To add to our frustration, I reached out to senior leadership via email but did not receive a response. When I spoke with the general manager of this location, they suggested purchasing more expensive seats instead of addressing our concerns. I challenged him to sit in that section as he told me many people request to sit there which I believe during the normal show to be true but the Christmas show the red ship is the primary ship used with the major character of the show on top of the ship and all the games on the emerald side played that would be front row for A1 are played at the opposite end of the arena making these seats a terrible location for this show. Additionally, the chicken served was not up to par—its texture was more like jerky. Having attended more than ten times, this experience was not what we anticipated. I really hope that Pirates Voyage considers marking obstructed view seating on their website and possibly offering those spots at a discounted rate. Wanted to share as it is a major spend for families and would hate to have others disappointed as ours was.

This experience was not great but before I get to the bad, let me inform you of the good. I appreciate the staff hard work and dedication. Everyone was nice, friendly and demonstrated professionalism and for that I gave this a 3. If only based on the show I would give a 2. If only based on food, I would give it a 1. The pre show was ok. The crowd was engaged but the alcohol drinks that we had was not good and at $12 each they should of been perfected. The popcorn was ok for $5.50 a bucket. The main show had some parts that were just not interesting and boring to say the least. Some parts I liked better. The seal was my favorite, lighted glow acts, race and the respect for Jesus, that part. Now let's move to.....The food. The worse, although the pictures may look advertising and good, it was not. The soup was probably the best of everything we received because it was seasoned and served hot. The chicken was like warm but not seasoned well or cooked long enough. The potato was not season, overcooked and no option for butter to enhance it either. The pull pork was not tastey and I only seen the sauce option at the end of the show. The corn was served hot and tasted ok but I had to season it myself. The desert of apple pie need more apples in it and to be served hot not cold. The coke drink was more water down as if the ice had been in the pitcher of coke for a while, than with any ice in the cup at all. They did have some condiments such as salt, pepper and hot sauce packs available for you The pictures...... We took several pictures but not all options were given to us. We purchased them anyways for an additional $40 on top of the near $200 that we spent on tickets for 4 persons. The restroom.... This area was cleaned, stocked with soap and paper towels. The trash can were not running over either. Overall, I'm not impressed or satisfied enough to ever return or recommend but you be your own judge!

It was an interesting experience but a bit expensive and everything seemed " rushed" Since the moment we sat down everything was, go go go..and then it was over before you realized it. Not enough time to enjoy the food and the show properly. First of all, it's a musical for those who doesn't know it.. It was nice and entertaining specially for kids. Some acrobatics, a few cute animals that performed, and a few activities/ games for a few selected kids. The ambience is nice overall and the decor is very impressive. But once again, it's a very expensive experience. Around 300US$ for 4 . It doesn't stop with the tickets though, there's, plus and plus and plus. As soon as you walk in, you have no saying, they take your picture with a pirate background which they come and present to you, while having dinner.. It felt very pushy and imposed to buy it. You're not asked if you want it...you're asked : which one do you want ( they show you 3 printed pictures) which cost another 45US$... You don't have to but for the kids to feel "part" of the experience, there's an option of a bundle including face painting, sword, flag, pirate hat, eye patch and earring for 25US$ ( give or take, I don't remember the exact price). At least you have all you can drink soda with the meal which is not bad, it's actually tasty. The soup and chicken were perfectly seasoned, the biscuit and apple turnover were fresh and hot, the only thing mediocre was the corn, which was overcooked and dry . They offer take out bags at the end of the meal in case you can't eat everything and would like to bring it with you.
