I might be a little biased (Axe’em Jacks!) but my experience was awesome! It was full of interesting history about Nacogdoches, exhibits to interact with, and it was air conditioned. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The student workers were also extremely helpful and pointed out several different things that I would have otherwise missed. I highly recommend checking it out if you love history!

A small 6 room museum, about the size of 2 pioneer houses one on top of the other. The entire 2nd floor is interactive exhibits, but they're NOT just for kids. Personally I found the fist room about Caddo Indians and the second room about the history of the building itself to be the most interesting parts. They have a bathroom in the last room on the 1st floor if you need it.

Small museum located on SFA's campus. It talks about the history of the building itself and the history of Nacogdoches. They have some interactive stations for kids to check out. Payment to see it is not necessary, but they take donations. Nice place to learn a little history.

It was very interesting to see the facts and a neat place to go, but we had a few small children and the guy at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude to us. He did not welcome us, he did not smile, he did not speak unless we spoke to him and treated us as an inconvenience. We have a few older kids who were very into the experience and reading and learning and the worker acted as if they were annoying him if they asked any questions. At one point my son asked a very valid question and he looked at my son like he was stupid out of his head for even thinking it much less asking it. I gave it two stars for the actual facts and neat stuff inside, but they REALLY need to find someone with more people skills than that...

First-rate museum in Nacogdoches. Aprons exhibit was professional and beautifully done. It was like walking into a fair where you learn something. It was exciting, interesting, and inclusive. I came for the community collections event where they welcomed individuals to bring their family aprons and recipes for sharing and documenting. I felt that it could have been my own family history on the wall in this exhibit. A truly a...
