Cool dog park along the Stones River, under the I-40, by the Percy Priest dam. It’s fairly large, with a grass/gravel mixture, but beware - there’s no separation/accommodation for large or small dogs - they are all enclosed together. My small dogs are slightly apprehensive about bigger dogs, so this dynamic was often tiresome because it required constant vigilance from us, to prevent fights. The other dog owners were VERY friendly though, and there were hundreds of people, coming and going, in the area, due to the fishing and walk/bike path associated with the park. We plan on returning- it’s beautiful and was fun for us. Other online reviews talk about no shade, which is true, but we visited in the Fall, so it was cool enough. Also, restrooms were closed, so can’t comment- Porto-potties were available. I will say that it was 50/50 about owners picking up their pets’ excrement, so watch...

We've been on a road trip for about 2 days now and have stopped at 3 parks so far. This is far and away the best yet! Huge area for our three to run, even enough to wear out our greyhound minpin mix! Mostly grass, lotsa benches, water for the little ones, a covered area for the humans, bathrooms in the summer months for humans. The only downside is the bathrooms are closed in the winter and the portapotties outside that were provided were out of Toilet Paper.... all in all it was a great stop, great time and a wonderful place for the little ones to stretch and have a bit of fun. If were ever in the area again...

Decent sized park in a great location by a walking trail, but almost no shade to speak of (no trees or bushes or anything that would require maintenance) and plenty of opportunities to step in poop, as it seems many of the owners that go here neglect to clean up after their dog despite doggy bags being provided by the park.

The dam tries to distract from the giant truss holding up the electrical wires but the truss takes up a significant amount of space in the park and it just looks ugly.

There's plenty of parking and water for the dogs is provided, along with a couple of kiddie pools for the dogs...

I have always enjoyed bringing Finley to this park, people come and leave lots of toys and balls for everyone to play with, if people would just leave them at the park. Closes at dusk but there are beautiful walking trails and a map out front by the dam to select and view courses. The police routinely horseback the trails for safety, and I am grateful for their presence, especially when getting dark and you may be walking alone. Many people cycle and run so respect common courtesy for them. Please don't forget your doggy bags to preserve for future visitors.

What I enjoy most about this dog park is that the Greenway and River are right there. So you can let your dog play for a bit, and then go on a walk. Also, it's great if you are trying to socialize your dog around other people. I like the location, but it does get muddy sometimes. I avoid this dog park on rainy days and even a few days after it rains. It always has water, I've never been there when the doggy fountain is not working. Which is great because so many other parks don't have a workable fountain.

It's a good park. There are always lots of dogs, but with that come the fun and responsibilities that come with lots of dogs. Sometimes there are scuffles, but most usually they are stopped quickly, and everyone can get back to the fun. there are bag stations and trash cans so you can clean up after they poop. I really appreciate the fountain to help keep all our pals cool. The only wish is that there was more shade during those brutal Nashville summers.
