I'm going on month 5 of being unemployed so mom and I are taking this time to visit as many public libraries near to where we reside. Today was a dreary, rainy, cold day here in Michigan; what a better way to while away the day by visiting a cute, quaint library located near the water.
This small, yet fully functioning, library is located in downtown New Baltimore, MI. You can walk to a park located on Lake St. Clair or visit nearby antique stores, eateries and mom & pop shops.
Mom requires a transporter when there is a lot of walking. I was able to use the ramps to get her in and out of the building but there were scooters inside or big comfy chairs for her to sit in. It's a smaller library so I can see where it would be difficult to store a scooter but a nice comfy chair here and there would be a good addition.
There was a main section of the library, a friends of the library store and a children's/teen section.
The personnel were friendly and helpful. Bonus, they have a room in the back where you can do crafts such as quilting.
