American Atlas Locksmith — Local services in New Baltimore

As soon as I walked in the man working behind the counter was polite at first and welcoming. He did take a very long time with the customer in front of me talking about the most random things. I was next in line. When it was my turn the man assisted me with getting my kep copied. He had a really weird personality. He talked about personal things I really didn't need to know and it was inappropriate. I almost left before he gave me a copy of my key but I really needed a copy that day! Nobody else could help me with this particular key at other stores in the area either. After I paid and got my key the locksmith started to hit on me and made me feel very uncomfortable. This is under my Grandsons name. He borrowed the keys for our motor home and then went swimming. We were at Lakeport State Park in our motorhome. We had no spares. Kevin the owner of American Atlas in New Baltimore MI was working not to close by. He came out and changed out our ignition so we could drive home. When we got home I removed the door locks and compartment locks and dropped them off to his shop. In 2 days all my problems were solved and the price was very reasonable. I honestly wish I could rate this lower than 1 star. I have been here 3 times to get a key cut. First time no one showed up. Was asked to come back in about an hour.

Second time (2 hours later same day) person still didn't show up.

Third and final time. There was an employee smoking outside saying that they were closed since he has to go to the VA hospital and that he is more important than me as a customer.

All I needed was a key cut. It is pretty bad when Lowes/Home Depot/Menards gives better service than a small...
