It was my first time there with my 2 grandchildren and their mom and dad visiting from N C. When I was there for the fireworks, I never knew that there was a new playground built in Malone Park. There are all sorts of playground equipment there for all ages of kids and baby swings with a swing for the mom or dad to enjoy swinging their son or daughter. This playground is also for kids with disabilities my son was telling me. It's also a nice place to go with families and friends on a day when it is not real hot and humid outside. There are also picnic tables and park benches inside the playground area for anyone to sit on to watch their children play...
Read moreI grew up about a ¼ mile from Malone Park. And though things have changed a bit over the years, it still has quite a draw. Coolest playground in town. Baseball/softball diamonds, tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball courts (some of the best outdoor baskets I've ever seen. A gazebo, that hosts a variety of events and musicians.
The woods my friends and I would play in, is now dotted with nature trails. This was my first time using them, and I will be back. They are really nice and quiet.

Read moreThis park is definitely a 5 star park! The play equipment is so beautifully done and organized by age groups. The slides were super fun to go down and when driving the ship the floor moves back and forth. There are beautiful sayings all around that just make the place feel magical. They also have beautiful basketball courts, several baseball diamonds and nature walking trails. Bonus was having public restrooms that were well taken care of. Only thing that could make this park better is a splash pad and pickle ball courts and it would be your go to destination...
