This is our third year here and each year has gotten worse. Yesterday they weren’t answering the phone during business hours and now multiple boats are left with no shore power despite spending $200 on an adapter. There is no emergency contact information. The policies and procedures need to change to at least have someone on call for situations like these.
UPDATE: after talking to a dock neighbor who went to New Buffalo for Father’s Day weekend, the electricity on the same slips didn’t work then either so they’ve known about this issue for three months and fail to get it fixed but still book reservations on those slips. We’ve been to many marinas and they are always kept clean and are usable. I literally cannot even shower here currently because there are bugs and filth everywhere. I was told they are only cleaned at the beginning of the season. Absolutely ridiculous and rude to visiting guests. Gross!!!! People who like to be clean, beware!!! Read moreThis is a jewel of a city owned marina. Very helpful employees and tons of parking. Ramps are super easy and calm, making for a smooth launch. Rented a 7 day slip among some gorgeous boats. My boat was 23’ deck boat and we had 3 good days on the big lake. Other days were too choppy. Dale was really patient with my questions and explained the area to me with good detail. Will, Jack, and Anna were very welcoming and helpful through the week. Dennis was directing traffic on the busy Saturday that we took out and was great to talk with.
