I come to Michigan every so often to visit since my aunt was from Michigan but I had never visited New Buffalo until like a month ago and yesterday. I was in the area to eat and walk around the beach and decided to visit Hidden Gem just to check out the store. Did not plan on buying anything. As I walked into the store and was just looking around. I encountered something that meant so much to me. I looked over at the object and it was a beautiful wooden hummingbird. My aunt who had passed away at the age of 49 from metastatic breast cancer, pancreatic and lung cancer loved hummingbirds and I just had to get it to remind the memories with my aunt and the love that she had for hummingbirds. Thank you Hidden Gem for having such a memorable item that I can cherish forever. ✨

This shop has lots of unique items! I fell in love with the framed art made out of beach glass and stones. They also have great pieces honoring the state of Michigan and the local area as well. I recommend The Hidden Gem for anyone just browsing or doing some real shopping. Souvenirs, unique gifts, art, clothing, a section to spoil your fur babies... lots to check out!
