Orr Auditorium — Attraction in New Wilmington

Never will get the chance to experience the Orr Auditorium. Tried to purchase a ticket to see Jackie Evancho on December 12, 2018, but was told tickets for the public was set for July 2 to give season subscribers the opportunity to purchase first. Fine. My information was taken and was told by the box-office manager she would pick the best seat available for me on July 2. I called today, July 11, to inquire why my card was not charged nor was I contacted. Manager told me all 700 of the best seats were available for season subscribers only, no matter if they actually plan to attend or not.

So those people not of the season subscriber persuasion who attempt to purchase tickets to see Jackie Evancho on December 12 must be content on sitting at least 20 rows back from the stage to accommodate whatever empty seats are left from uninterested season subscribers.

I understand subscribers who pay extra to have the opportunity to get the best seats before the general sale, but to block the sale of seats after sale to the general public is allowed is unacceptable. I personally have the means and opportunity to travel anywhere to experience Jackie Evancho in person, so avoiding this venue in favor of another Jackie concert at another time isn’t a problem. I do take issue with this venue for a policy that by it’s very design will insure a low turnout for Jackie. Jackie Evancho doesn’t deserve to be treated to that...

We went to Westminster College's Celebrity Series production of Catapult. A troop of of dancers/actors telling stories through shadows projected on a screen. According to the program they were participants on, "America's Got Talent". We totally enjoyed our evening watching these very talented artists. We are so glad to have a college bring in acts throughout the year that we may not have ever had a chance to see otherwise. And what a beautiful facility to hold such events! Thank you...

Westminister College has a beautiful campus that reflects dignity and character. Orr Auditorium is very nice venue for the concert series that Westminister presents.
