The Hall of Hobbies — Local services in New Wilmington

This place is one of the worst establishments I've ever been to. And I make it a point to seek hobby shops out. It looks amazing, but there are only 4 things you can touch in the store, cards, toy cars, movies and video games (if none are in boxes like most are). That sounds amazing until you get there and see piles of boxes all around you and when you try to look in them he says that stuff isn't for sale.. Them don't put it in a STORE. The store is basically a storage unit for this man. I went in last time he wasn't there and only wanted toy cars about 5 months ago, spent $70 went back 1 day ago and spent $40. Went in today and was going to buy a couple boxes full... But because of the rudeness I pulled out the quarters and bought $3 of cars and then walked out and will not be returning. To make matters worse, he told me yesterday that he was going to close early at 4pm but today at 3pm he walks over to me and says "I'm closing early again so if you have anything you want to buy" AT 3PM. Online it says open till 5pm I'm like cool he'll just close at 4pm no problem it's just a bit early.. But to tell me 4pm the day before and then come over to where I'm looking and say closing early a full hour before he had told me.. and all of the people I told to check it out, will now be told not to. The worst part was the way he treated me.. When he was done explaining the thing I was looking at was not for sale, he the said... "The best thing would be if you had some more Hot Wheels you wanted to buy". And the way he said it was extremely condescending. I may sound exactly like what some people refer to as a "Karen"... But I assure you I'm the exact opposite and have only ever left one other bad review, it was for a gas station. The rest have been as good as this one has been bad. O stars. Will not be back. I've never been treated so wrong as a customer. Furthermore, anywhere that I can leave this exact review, I will. Google, Facebook, yelp, any other...

I actually got really excited to see such a cool looking locally owned game store in the area, so of course, I had to check it out. Unfortunately, they aren't open at this location any longer, and there were no signs saying why or where they were now. I tried calling the number provided and received a voice-mail is full message. After some internet sleuthing, I found out that they had shut down temporarily until they move to a new location, but they had no times or dates as to when or where this new location would be just that they were not open at the location...

This place is amazing. Helpful employees, great selection of games, trading cards, records, you name it. Everytime you go there theres something new, they seem to find new stuff every week or so. Great prices, as well. They always test the games and consoles, I've only had one game not work but it was because it was a European game and those don't work on US Nintendo entertainment systems. Overall, great place to go, 100...
