Against Da Grain Barber Shop — Attraction in New York

Been a long time patron of this business. Used to come here when they were on Victory Blvd and Moe was the owner. Haven't visited there since they relocated. Took my sons there for a haircut, place was fairly empty so I expected to be in and out. I was seen immediately and hoped both of them would get their cuts at the same time. My eldest went first. I put 120 minutes in my parking meter. My meter expired and he is still getting a haircut. At that point I'm getting frustrated. I see a woman barber come in and I'm hopeful someone else can assist the situation and cut my other son's head. Upon asking the woman she denied him and after the manager asked her again she claims she had a client coming in and she could not. So again I wait. Still waiting on the first cut to be complete. I ask another barber to please cut my other son's head when he is done so I can leave there before 3 hours. Again this place isn't crowed and takes walk-ins as i was. The woman barber who refused to service me and my child did not see a client in fact she sat in her barber chair swinging her scissors in her hand for about an hour until i was finally done. I don't know how business is run there but I've never experienced a 2+ hour haircut not even in the busiest and most popular barbershops. Highly...

My Husband and our Son have gone this Barber shop for a few years on and off and ever time they go they always come home with awesome shape-ups and cuts! This location can be really busy sometimes because the barbers here are the real deal and are on demand. Pictured was a Woman Barber who's skills were awesome, it was the first time we'd had a Woman cut our Son's hair and she was amazing! not only was she quick her work had superb precision. A 5-10min drive or bus ride from the SI Ferry, it's definitely a Staten Island...

I sent my husband out to get a haircut. He tried a couple in our area. A few neighbors recommended that he went to Against the Grain on Victory boulevard. Why did my husband come back with no sides, hairline messed up, most of the hair in the back is cut off, theres one line of side burn on one side of his face nd the other side dont have any. Mustache and everything messed up. And had the audacity to give my husband a card. Highly not recommended. And the barber to do all that mess is Dy'she. Like seriously please go...
