Istanbul Bay Authentic Mediterranean Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I had an appointment on Bay Area & had r have any breakfast. It was already after 2 pm & was very hungry . So I searched it up if there is any halal restaurant near me. I found this one, didn't even realized it existed until today . I don't live around that area & barely come to this part of the island . Upon asking I have found out that they had been open more than 6 months ! But it's never too late to try a new restaurant & get surprised!

Tell you the truth Turkish food isn't my regular food, but I do love it. There are so much I gotta try still & that's the exciting part !

So when I came in was seated right away. I decided to try something new which I never tried before. So ordered lentil soup, lamb chop & tried their spicy Mock-tail. It was soo good ! Lentil soup was ok, lamb chop was yummy, it was my first time trying lamb chop actually & because they had 2 different portions size I was able to order for me. I am so glad I did ! Altho it was only 2 pieces but it comes with rice, bread & salad. Very filling ! Then I had to order a dessert called Kunafe & it was so yummy !and of course I can't finish without trying some tea or coffee. So I tried the Turkish tea! After all this exciting food I was soo full but I will definitely be back !

The place is not that big but cozy! Restroom was beautiful & clean. Customer service was good, everyone does not speak English well & I don't speak their language! It did took some patience for both of us to communicate lol__

The service of this restaurant was truly exceptional and remarkable hands down!!! Emre our server and Yousuf the chef consistently checked in to ensure the quality of food was up to standard for our liking! We enjoyed our mixed grill platter and wanted a change for our chicken being undercooked. The staff took immediate action to rectify the issue. They not only offered a complimentary dessert to compensate for the initial mishap but also replaced the undercooked dish with a completely new, and an entirely free (2) additional dishes. The chef came to ensure that everything was up to our to our liking!!!

The restaurant's actions, including the staff's kindness, attentiveness, and the replacement of the unsatisfactory dish created a memorable and positive dining experience that is highly recommended. This level of service truly shows a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and speaks volumes on the dedication to quality care. The chef's personal involvement to consistently check in created a dining experience that I would recommend to others!!
