Where do I even begin? I’m a senior ready to run off to my dream college, thanks to the help of Ashcan. I cannot stress how helpful and experienced these teachers are—each and every one of them. The program they offer is rigorous and structured, a real test of what your full potential looks like. They will guide you to think in the right direction and bolster the ideas you bring to the table. You’re never alone while brainstorming. The talented and ambitious students around you will become your best buddies, there is no one that understands your troubles and roadblocks better than your peers here. And there is always a teacher who you could lean on.

Truthfully, it goes without saying you will lose some things committing to such a rigorous schedule. It's definitely not for everyone. Seriously everyone...i got into all the schools I applied to and trust me my gpa, sat and act grade was wayyyy too low so I thought i wouldn’t get into a single school seriously. My grades were lower than yall can ever imagine. BUT GUESS WHAT ASHCAN SAVED MY LIFE!!! PORTFOLIO AND ESSAYS??? ASHCAN IS THE WAY WHAT THE HECK!!!! I mean yall still need to work your butt off. If you don’t work hard i dont know what to tell u. Do u even want to go to college? Straight up yall need to work hard bc the teachers aren’t supposed to do all the work for you you know? They are going to guide you through the right path for your portfolios and essays. They are the nicest and coolest teachers you can ever meet. SO JUST GO TO ASHCAN IF YALL WANT TO GO TO YALL DREAM COLLEGES. I GOT INTO PARSONS WITH FULL RIDE AND ALSO GOT INTO COOPER!!!! Incredible. I’ve been coming here for almost two years now, and I just have to say that the entire studio is just about perfect, not only for prime portfolio building, but also as a place to meet great people. The environment is really friendly, full of charismatic teachers and outgoing students. The receptionist at the front is really nice and always on top of things, always organized to make sure each student’s experience and progress is optimal. The teachers are young and really connect with the age group of the students here. They allow you to pursue your most creative ideas and ambitious endeavors to unlock your full artistic potential, unlike the limiting school art classes. They make the grueling process of assembling a portfolio into a fun and memorable experience, even enjoyable. Shoutout to Ms. Woo, one of the most inspirational and helpful teachers I’ve ever met.
