This was my first time coming and I know nothing about plants. I was really excited to come. I had the worst experience, I would give zero stars if I could.

Unless you have a car, public transportation is horrible out here. When I finally reached the nursery, it was 5pm. On the website, Yelp, and here on Google it says the nursery is opened until 6pm. Apparently, during the summer they close at 5:30pm. To get anyone to help me was next to impossible because it was clear the staff was trying to get out at 5:30pm. I believe it was the manager, he blew me off when I kept asking plant questions. When I tried to explain the situation with exactly what I needed to another employee he wasn't really listening and kept cutting me off. He directed me to a plant section that apparently only stores outdoor plants when I specifically told him I need plants that thrive indoors. I learned this after I made my purchase and I didn't have time to do proper research while I was there, because they were rushing me out. So now I have two plants and I'm not sure what will happen.

I'm aware this place has been there for 100 years and very large, but I won't be back. I know the staff wanted to leave, but if they had helped me properly I would have been gone quicker. Terrible customer service. I'm sure people can find a nursery with much nicer people, I...

The selection is pretty good, but finding a good selection at a plan shop. The service here is disappointing. They screwed up my delivery day, which was a window from I believe 9am-3pm - I stayed home all day and then wouldn't do anything accommodating. The next day I wasn't home so I gave the delivery guy instructions how to get into the building. The delivery driver left the delivery outside of my building even tho I was on the phone with him when get got there and confirmed he had the code. They said I can cancel my order and get a refund, but that would be even more inconvenient for me.

The prices aren't anything to write home about, so the two stars are just because they have a good selection. I've been a a few times and surely won't...

Three weeks ago I went in asking for delivery. I’ve returned 3 weeks in a row and receive absolutely awful customer service. Last week I was yelled at across the store that they were not doing deliveries until after Easter. After speaking with the manager today he told me he doesn’t have time to “argue” with customer. They are a wholesale business and make tons of money otherwise. This same gentleman told me three weeks ago that he could do a delivery and then today told me they only do wholesale deliveries. This place is an absolute joke! Judging by many other reviews customer service is brought up many other times, or the lack thereof. Sure the plants are beautiful, but they treat you like trash. All their kindness must go...

A neighbor referred me to Lapide after I commented on how well her plants looked. Ive since been there every year for spring and fall plants. The place is well attended mostly on Sundays where it can get a bit crowded. Selection is good (there are a couple of plants that have not been in stock several times) and the plants fair well once you take them home. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have pots, garden tools, soil, decor and various other garden needs. Their prices are VERY reasonable and I have gone overboard with buying plants before. Keep your receipt handly for exiting. Parking is limited but spaces are available.

If you’re looking to fill the void of loneliness, come to Brooklyn plantology by lapide and get yourself some green friends for a decent price. Take care of those friends. Treat them kindly as you’d like to be treated. Sometimes
unfortunately, some friends don’t make it and you’ll need to make another trip to Brooklyn plantology by lapide. But that’s just life! Full of ups and downs. Experience life at Brooklyn plantology by lapide. Tell your flesh friends about it or gift them their own green friends. Also, they have the best bathroom.

A must visit if you’re in the market for plants or planters. They just got in a fresh shipment and have restocked their plants. Ranging from small cacti / succulents to bigger palms. The 5” pilea and Venus fly trap were both $10, and the larger planter was about $7, smaller about $3. Check out their Instagram for more photos and prices! @brooklynplantology Also, they have their resident cat Brooklyn đŸ±
