Such a horrible management. My toddler daughter wanted to play one of the coin machines that they display at the store. The machine was broken and no signs were posted. We put our money and the machine took it without giving any price. My daughter was very disappointed and wanted to cry because we always play them since she was 2 years old. I asked one of the cashiers if they return the money from the broken machine so my child can spend it on the other one. He was so nice and pleasant about it and called the manager. 5 foot tall girl comes by, looks at us, knows that we are the one who called her and decided to go and hide in her office like a coward. She called one of the other cashiers and told her that the machines are from independent contractors and she cannot return my money. Well, if any independent contractor can place a machine in your store let me put one non working one as well… the store still gets a percentage from what the machine makes. At this point it was not about the money or disappointment of my child. It was about the cowardly behavior of the lady who called herself a manager and lied about being there for over 3 years. People who live in this community come to the store often, biweekly or on daily basis and during that time speak and get friendly with the store crew and she is definitely there not long at all. The way she carry herself is not good representation of her, the store or the respect that she will get from her coworkers. Person like that who shows no respect to costumers will never get any recognition or respect from her coworkers. Good luck in another...
Read moreI could write a book about the the lines and lack of cashiers to meet the demand of customers so we’ll leave that for what it is. It’s a Saturday morning, the store just opened and it’s 8am. Why on earth was I looking for a gift bag (dropping them all as I went because you touch one thing and 10 fall planning on picking them all up when I found the bag I wanted) and this woman was standing watching me for god knows how long. When I actually saw her and made eye contact I felt her energy piercing through her eyes and I said to her “you don’t need to watch me I’ll pick everything up when I’m done” because I was aware I was making a mess but I worked retail and would never leave it. She responded back in a nasty attitude that she wasn’t watching me she needed to sweep where I was standing and proceeded to mumble about me to herself. Why were you standing there arms crossed for a good 5 minutes watching me? Walk away and come back when the customer is done or politely ask me if you could sweep where I was standing. I didn’t get her name and I hope she sees this but she needs an attitude adjustment. It’s 8 am there’s no reason you have to start your day like that and be nasty to customers. I worked retail for over a decade of my life, if I couldn’t do a task because a customer was in my way I came back later. I didn’t watch them and make them feel...
Read moreI visited Dollar Tree on Saturday, August 10 around 9:30 AM to purchase birthday decorations. I picked up a couple of number balloons from the birthday/party section and some balloons from the front. I was assisted by cashier Matthew, who unfortunately had a rude and unfriendly demeanor throughout the interaction.
He appeared irritated whenever customers asked questions. When I kindly asked him if he could grab some balloons from the front, he responded in a demanding, rude tone. I then asked if he could inflate the number balloons I had purchased from the store, and he questioned me in a way that made me feel belittled: “The balloons you purchased yourself from the store?” When I confirmed, he replied, “No, we don’t do those and never have,” which is untrue, as I’ve had number balloons inflated at this location multiple times before.
While I understand that everyone can have a bad day, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced unfriendly customer service at this store. Sadly, it feels like the staff dislike their jobs, and it’s disappointing to feel unwelcome every time...
