I came in on Christmas Eve, and was treated so rudely from beginning to end. The manager Jennifer was absolutely horrible, she was rude and rushed me to choose a color nail polish when I wasn’t even there for more than 5 mins. She was literally yelling at me telling me other people needed to get there nails done, when I literally just got there, and the other customers waiting didn’t even mind because they were also still picking colors. All the manager Jennifer cares about is money, NOT SERVICE! When I sat down at the table, the manager Jennifer and the girl that was doing my nails were talking about me in there language, and then I LITERALLY FELT ABUSED, the girl that was doing my nails kept HARSHLY pulling and tugging at my arms/hand while doing my nails and putting it under the UV light, I asked her to stop being so rough but instead she got worse and kept doing it, she even was yelling at me. I was so confused how these people could treat a paying customer like this. If it was someone else, they would have flipped out on them, but I just wanted to leave so bad, that I kept my cool and quiet until I left.
As for my actual nails, I asked for red chrome and the girl put red chucky glitter on my nails, I told her I did not want glitter, and then Jennifer stepped in yelling and said I needed to leave my chair and go back to choosing a color, while someone else takes my seat. I told her I couldn’t wait for another hour because I had to work after the salon, she didn’t care. So instead of me taking a second to choose a color, I had no choice but to choose basic white, so I could leave and make it to work on time. This was A HORRIBLE HORROR salon nightmare. What I ended up getting was chunky white nails, that my kid niece could have done for me, instead I have to over pay $70 for a rude service. MORAL OF STORY:
DO NOT GO TO THIS...
Read moreAlmond, coffin, stiletto, gems, ombré, chrome. They do it all! The best salon in that 3 block radius in Springfield (and I’ve visited every salon). Fei Fei Salon truly tries to accommodate every customer. I don’t have a particular person I go to or request because of the staff are incredibly talented and good at what they do. I always get designs or something unique, and have never been dissatisfied with my nails. I get a hard gel and then always a fill. The pedicures are clean and well-done, with lots of options for spa pedicures as well. This has been my go to nail salon for a year. Also, I got my nails done for all my wedding events here (Shaadi, dolki, mehndi). I usually go in with a few pictures for inspiration and work with the manicurist to come up with something. Sometimes I do appointments, but usually walk ins. Also they are the only salon nearby that is open on a Sunday. It’s so convenient and satisfactory that I’m considering getting my hair cut and massages here as well. I always feel respected and welcome in this place. I used to go to another salon and observed several times that the owner was prioritizing other customers over me and making me wait more than 1 hour for appointments while immediately catering to older White customers. At Fei Fei, I was getting my nails done during the solar eclipse. The manicurist paused her work for me, lent me her glasses so I could go outside and experience the eclipse. They are so friendly, nonjudgmental, and importantly, very professional here. I’ve seen women come in with their children and even small dogs. Overall a welcoming space, which is important since I spend so much time and money there. My only dislike is that there is one guy who does pedicures and I don’t like his work. I avoid him and if he were the only person available for pedicure, I...
Read moreI've only been here a handful of times, and only for a basic manicure and pedicure. The standard pedicure took about 10 minutes and it's nothing special but it looked ok. Standard manicure looked ok too. I went in to buy a gift card and I was charged tax on it. So a $50 gift card was around $54. Isn't gift card an exchange of equal money? A $50 gift card should be $50. Then when my mom went to use the card they of course charged her tax. So they're collecting double tax? Something about that seems a bit off to me. I looked it up on the NY state dept of taxation and finance and copied this : Gift cards regardless of dollar amount, whether given away for no charge or sold to a customer, are not subject to sales tax. When the gift certificate is used, the sales tax is charged if a taxable purchase is made. The customer uses the gift certificate as if it were cash to pay for his or her purchases. If the purchase is subject to tax, the customer must also pay the tax, either by using the gift certificate or with additional cash. So they're illegally charging tax on gift card purchases. And I know they've done this before because I buy my mom a gift card every year for her birthday and they always charged me tax on the gift...
