Food World Supermarket — Attraction in New York

Shopping with a disability/crutches and the security guy whom I thought rolled his eyes when I came in is now standing way back outside of my lane at checkout and instead of trying to help me empty my cart, he is standing against the front wall arms crossed, mean-mugging me and waiting for me to empty my cart as if I was stealing. Hard enough to shop with very bad back and new hip replacement but when you are being monitored by security w/o some discretion or dignity, their actions obviously implying they think you are a thief, it makes a painful shopping experience physically a painful mental one also. It happens in White neighborhoods to me but at least they do it with a bit more dignity and discretion. But in your own neighborhood? Wow!

I announced that I didn't appreciate his actions to my cashier when it he confirmed that he was monitoring me by him leaving right after watching me struggle to reach a pork roast in the bottom of the cart way back to stay away from the other food to get scanned (Who puts meat especially pork or those bags of chicken on the belt anymore?)

i had to wait for some Salmon to be picked up from the Fish Department for me. The whole time waiting I felt uncomfortable and made sure I didn't stand by any merchandise up front to subject myself to further scrutiny. I just wanted to get out of the store.

Used to like this store, will tell all of my friends not to shop...

They usually have good sales they should get 4 stars but sadly today two stars..... After today on 11/20/2021 around 1:37pm I would not be coming back until They get a new manager .. It a short Indian women look like a 3 year old did her makeup with a confuse look on her face very clueless & NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. Usually other supermarkets when you tell them that it a whole shelf of a product on sale supposedly under the same brand with the same wording they usually give YOU the product. She wanted a problem. It was knoxx chicken bullion 2 for 4$ smh get it together n make sure the sale price is on the right product. Very disappointed

Update 07/07/2024 It happen again same name brand just different flavor .... THE FEMALE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED!! IT HURTING THE BRAND OF THIS COMPANY ... I SWEAR LITERALLY A WHOLE 4 WEEKS AGO I BROUGHT SPARKING ICE UNDER 1.00 ON A WHOLE SHELF STATING ITS 1$ WITH TONS OF DIFFERENT FLAVOR SOME WAS 1.50 BUT IT UNDER THE SAME NAME BRAND AND THE GUY MANAGER LET IT GO... THIS PARTICULAR WOMAN LIKE SHE 4"11/4"08 SHE MAKES THINGS COMPLICATED N DO COME OFF A LITTLE RACIST. SHE NOT KNOWING I'M HALF INDIAN MAYBE IF I LOOK MORE LIKE GUYANESE INDIAN IT WOULDVE BEEN A DIFFERENT STORY HONESTLY IT GIVIN THAT... OR THAT MANAGER IS JUST NOT IT FR FR ... TRY TO GET CANADA...

I am a person who needs work as many. I have a daughter that I fight for every day. I apply for work in this supermarket I am ispana and to this day I feel that the manager was the same person who ran like an animal, telling me that I did not need me. So aggressively and turned his back and continued on his cell phone. Like thinking or believing that he is a manager of a super high-market, .. if on Saturday I went to train he had no idea who called me to train, the strange meeting that told me to go to train a Saturday Anything to be a manager was not informed. I said come back on Monday but the girl that I train me design will let you know on Monday. Monday did not come back because they told me they would call me. Today I return to the super market and the manager. Treats me like an animal. He yells at me why you did not come on Monday? Go here we do not need you. What kind of person speaks to a woman in this way. And turns and continues with the phone in hand and leaves. All because neither he nor his employer could agree to tell me the day that I had to return to training. As I could imagine that he is the manager if from the first day not even respect respect to appear before me. Hello my name and I am the manager. By people like this gentleman this country is...
