WARNING: DON’T GO UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING MONEY ON BS! First and LAST time me and my family will be going to Decker Farm! There was an admission fee to get inside, which I was aware of because it says the admission or “ticket prices” on their website, even though they didn’t have actual tickets; they just stamp your hand after you pay. So we get stamped to go inside the farm, but when we get in there was literally NOTHING as advertised for the kids to do and it was a HUGE disappointment. Both of my kids are on the spectrum for autism and were looking forward to a fun time on the farm, but instead they got nothing but disappointment. They charge you to basically go on the property, but EVERYTHING else inside cost money and their prices are far from cheap. They advertised pumpkin painting, hayride, pumpkin chucking, and more fun activities for the kids, but you have to pay for everything (except the hayride, but that was so wack that it wasn’t even worth going)! We were so unhappy with our experience there that we didn’t even do their hayride because it was pointless. I was under the impression that certain things or activities would have been included in the admission fee, but they literally charge you to walk around and it’s not right. My oldest (9 years old) told me this wasn’t fun AT ALL. I felt so bad because I really thought we would have a nice family fun day, but it just wasn’t the case at this farm. This place is definitely a money scam and something needs to be done with them! I decided it wasn’t worth it and took them elsewhere for better fun. Not to mention they’re toys they had available for the kids we can easily get at a dollar store for literally $1.25 and they try to charge $7! IT’S INSANE!!! As we were leaving I tried talking to a manager asking for a refund or even half (it was a simple cash transaction), but she said it’s a fundraiser event and they can’t give refunds on it. I double checked afterwards on their website and it says NOTHING about being a fundraising event. The place was not as advertised and I wasted my last dollars for absolutely...
Read moreI’m only rating Decker Farm for their fall festival, since we have not visited for any other occasion.
First thing that is wrong with this festival, You have to pay to get in. What does that get you? It gets you the privilege of paying WAY too much for disgusting, burnt Arepas, stale donuts & popcorn. You get to stand in line for 30min to ride on a 10min hayride that does a small loop. You also get to pick a pumpkin that they probably bought at Trader Joe’s for $5 and put in their field and then charge you $30 for! The only free thing other than the hayride is a little hay maze for kids under 6, and I mean little.
The traffic to get there is crazy and there’s practically no parking.
The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because there are a few ok photo opps and the pumpkin launcher, which also cost extra, was...
Read moreWent to Decker Farm with my little girl last year and she loved. Especially feeding the goats and the face painting ☺ (the lady was very friendly and nice as well) Like some other people wrote prior, nothing really spectacular and honestly my daughter was about 2 yrs of age then and she was able to find her way out the maze no problem so I'm guessing older or...taller children really didn't have much trouble either but once you get passed the overwhelming simplicity of it, its actually quite a nice place if you dont want to travel all the way to NJ. I recommend it for a nice day out with kiddies :) PS.. The pumpkins i would say were.. okay at best, some where good, some had some mold, etc... Definitely have seen way better pumpkins in stores but they had a few decent ones if you let the kids pick they really don't...
