This restaurant is one of my favorites. I’ve always loved all of the outback’s. Their food is consistently fresh and you can tell that it is never old, and they always use the highest quality foods/ingredients. Today my family and i went there, but this time i have a lot of problems eating due to long Covid. Almost everything smells and tastes rotten. I ordered things differently from how they were on the menu. Lettuce with strawberries on the plate together, balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I usually like balsamic glaze but not vinaigrette because of the seasoning in it, but for some reason i was able to dip the lettuce in it and eat it. There was Some hard boiled egg chopped up tiny separately which i could eat. Some Parmesan cheese also superarte, along with Monterey Jack with cheddar i think also separate. I tasted little pieces of the bread with butter which was also pretty good. Very surprisingly i was able to eat some of my dads zucchini in pole bites as well as some of my son’s ribs in little bites. Usually i can’t eat any of that. I dk what happened tonight but i hope and pray that i will be able to eat again like a “normal” person. For dessert i had some strawberries with honey and black tea with some milk and sugar. Our waiter, Armend was exceptional. I had to sounds really crazy with my requests but he understood what i was going through. He was amazing and did everything perfectly, made no mistakes with any orders and he was very friendly. He came over plenty of times to make sure that everything was ok and to see If we wanted anything else. I highly recommend this waiter. Thanks so much for doing such a great job. Also the manager is very nice. I love how Outback always has a manager come to the table to make sure all was good, the restaurant is always very clean, i can’t find anything wrong with this establishment for as long as I’ve been going to any of their locations. The Service has gone down the drain, food was ordered today April 25th 2025 and supposed to be ready at 7.40 pm, since the take out section was deserted and no one was there until 7.55 pm, I had to go speak to this bearded bulky manager wearing a blue shirt about my order, this rude manager just looked at me and asked WHAT IS THE NAME, and when I gave my name he just turned around and walked off like nothing happened, in about another 5 minutes a waitress comes along asks me for the order name and I show her the order and she couldn't even read the name. I then had to let her know the name, after which she went inside and brought the order. I told her that me and my wife waited from 7.40 pm for this order, but she just said " oh I don't know", we left this God forsaken place by saying that the service has gone down the drain. But this unpleasant experience wasn't over yet. The food was sooo bad, no flavor, no presentation. The lamb over rice from the halal truck looks better and tastier than this. Money spent in the worst possible way. This place use to be great, but the management. Customer service and food have turned toxic and very unpleasant. No wonder hy the place was half empty even today being a Friday. It does look like this place will go bankrupt soon. Read moreMy wife and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Outback Steakhouse last night on 3/29/25. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The atmosphere was upbeat, friendly, cozy, and very positive, and the food was simply outstanding.
We were particularly impressed with Anthony, our waiter, who provided exceptional service. When we asked which appetizer he recommended we went with it, the Garlic Parmesan Chicken appetizer, which was outstanding, and that is how our truly special evening began. Anthony was very attentive throughout our dining experience, ensuring we had everything we needed.
We also want to commend Annabelle and Charlie. Both managers, Annabelle and Charlie, recognized and thanked me for my military service as a veteran. Annabelle assisted us with ease when we were having issues at the table, patiently guiding us through the process on the electronic device. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident with their attentive joyful approach to our overall satisfaction. From appetizers to desert we truly had a memorable dining experience.
We loved the Chimichurri dish and the Steak and Rib combination. Each dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. We finished the evening with their delicious salted caramel cookie skillet and the chocolate thunder from down under. We both highly recommend Outback Steakhouse of Staten Island to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be returning!
