I attended the 9th Annual Kingsland Wildflowers Festival and it was fantastic! Upon entering you are greeted with information booths varies from bugs, bird watching to politicians, to oysters and kayaking information. Caddy-corner to the entrance were foods and beverages. In the back facing the water there were more native plants in large up-cycled pots, sculpture and live oyster tanks along with interactive activities. Fantastic views of Manhattan skyline, the creek, and the adjacent industrial neighborhood, which has the most esthetically pleasing (really!) sewage treatment plant in the world.
