BEWARE: Inconsistent and unprofessional. We ordered pizza 3 times from here in the past few months. Two times took 1 hour and one time took 30 minutes (we live 5 blocks away). The first time the pizza was hot and was a good mixture of sauce to cheese. The second time the pizza was barely warm and the delivery guy didn't want to bring it to our apartment. I hung up on him after he said he wouldn't bring it up the stairs. He wanted to leave it outside our building. He reluctantly did so while cursing along the way. The third time the same thing happened. We specifically put in the instructions that we cannot go outside and that the pizza would have to be brought up. Casanova accepted the order and the delivery guy didn't want to bring it up. He reluctantly did so but texted me afterwards that he would have to leave it outside our building because it was "too much of a risk" to deliver it to our door. I told him that I wouldn't open our door. Every delivery person has left the food in front of our door with no issue. The pizza this time also had almost no sauce and tasted and looked entirely different from the previous times we ordered.: (we ordered just plain cheese pizza). We had to make a complaint to Slice....

Loved this place but it appears to be out of business. The review here is not for the food, but for the fact that I placed an order and wasted a night, trying to get food for my family and ended up having to scramble to find a last-minute dinner before my toddlers bedtime. Wish I would’ve seen the latest reviews stating that whatjust happened to me, had happened to them; placed a pick up order online, walked over and saw a sign saying the restaurant was closed. Just “closed” — No information about whether this is temporary or permanent. Although they took themselves off of GrubHub, they’re still on other food service websites, including Chow now which is where I placed my order. I have been coming here since I was a teen, and that's a long time! I am born in Greenpoint, and never left, so I been here many many times and will keep coming back I especially like their Grandma pizza and I am pleased that they offer whole wheat pasta. I order that with broccoli, shrimp, oil and garlic. They are family owned and very friendly, they truly make you feel like you are number one! Their garlic knots are by far the best I ever had. They also have wine and beer. I also had deliveries from them a number of times, and it was quick and piping hot. The back space is very nice, and can host parties.
