Years back, I was looking for a PCP bcoz I did not have one. When I went personally to the clinic to inquire ( i do not have any idea how insurance, MD go about the process), the receptionist told me that they have only psyche doctors. So I moved on and found one.
This year my employer changed our insurance and saw again Local MD in their network. So I decided to change my PCP because it was closer to where I live and the doctor is available every Mondays which happened to be my day off. So I had an appointment and was seen by the doctor. Before I left I asked the doctor when does he want to see me again, he replied a week after and so I made an appointment. When I went there for my second appointment, the Nurse or Receptionist told me that I needed to pay $75 upfront ($35 for the doctor and $40 for the deductible). I told the receptionist to cancel my appointment because the doctor is just going to read my blood work results and why would I pay upfront for the deductible when there were no procedures yet done to me. It was just a yearly physical check up and I needed my medications. When I went home I called my Union who handles our insurance. I usually receive first the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) before I pay for anything. The Union Rep said to ask the clinic to call her so she can explain. But the receptionist called AETNA instead. When I spoke to AETNA rep, he told me that usually we should wait for the EOB before we pay for any fees. However, he added that clinics have different procedures and so I called the receptionist again telling them that I understand what they told me and then I apologize if i have offended them in some ways and just asked about my medications. She said that she is going to talk to the doctor and call me. But they did not call. I was calling and calling but they just put me on hold for a long time and never pick up the phone. Then I received a text from CVS Pharmacy for my medications. I was surprise again with the price I paid, and to find out CVS does not accept my insurance. Also, the doctor recommended the small pharmacy across them, along Grand Avenue then why did they forward my prescriptions to CVS. So, the next day I was calling them to request them to forward my medications to the pharmacy across. I called, waited, hang up. Called again, waited, hang up. They put me on hold and did not entertain my call.
We are patients, I am a new one in that clinic and somehow, the attitude of your receptionists are not appropriate for a clinic. We call because we needed something or clarify something and NOT to be taken for granted. I should say that they have the minds of immature people who does not want to help "patients". They should not be a nurse if they could not care even a little, as I can say. With employees like these kind you will lose a lot of patients and will have ratings so bad because of them. These patients because of what they feel sometimes affects their mood, response or reaction. People in the medical field should understand. But I guess your receptionists does not care at all.
Today, 09/23/24 they promised to call me because one of my prescriptions was wrong. But they did not call me. Because they don't care at all. Very...
Read moreThis is the most ratchet doctors office I've ever been to in my life.
I went here to establish primary care, as I just moved to this area, and needed my High Blood Pressure Rx renewed. The doctor was fine. It was the office staff that is the problem.
The doctor renewed my Rx, and said he'd call it in that day. The next morning I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, turns out he didn't call it in. No big deal, I call them.. after 3 calls, they finally pick up. I tell them he didn't call it in, they assured me that he would that day. They next morning, same thing went to the pharmacy and no Rx called in. It's now Thursday ( My appointment was Monday) and Im calling the office, no answer. No answer after I call no fewer than 5 times and leave a couple messages. FINALLY someone picks up. I explain that I've now been to the Pharmacy twice, and that I need this Rx, as I only have a few left.. and if I don't get it my BP could shoot up, which is dangerous. She then goes on to get an attitude with me on the phone, telling me she didn't work the day before (Like it matters). She then tells me there is no doctor there art the moment but would have the next one call it in. Thankfully, Friday it was there.
I don't have insurance at the moment. The doctor wanted to do blood work, and told me he would have the staff call and check with the lab how much it'd be, then contact me letting me know how much and when to come back to give the blood. He literally told them to do it in front of me.. and guess what, they never did. I haven't heard from them. This was over two weeks ago at this point.
I paid $200 for this appointment. Oh, also there card machine was down, and they wouldn't take a check.. so I had to go get CASH to pay them. Ratchet.
I would absolutely avoid this place. That's unless you enjoy subpar medial care, and being talked to like a child because they can't do their job (they were just sitting around on their...
Read moreI was refused further services shortly after this honest review. I can't help but to think that it was punishment for my review.
The management team refuses all responsibility of their system errors and not even the manager doesn't understand the system that shares automated appointments and refuses to listen to anyone who tries to explain what's happening.
In fact they stated that if I insist of making an excuse for everything then they'll end the call.
All the while I get bombarded with a bunch of links to appointments all at once and then I'm blamed when they fail to send the link to my appointment and then claim I missed the appointment? Uhh if I never had access to the appointment of course I couldn't join the call. This is not the first time they blame me for their own system.
My mental health is worse after dealing with the unwavering ignorance of their team.
When it comes to couples counseling... I express that there are time sensitive issues at play, We get scheduled and they cancelled, We scheduled again and they cancelled, I attempt to schedule for a third time and they have no availability... It's taken a lot for me to reach out for help and I don't feel confident that you place enough importance in our mental health to show up for an appointment. I am seriously considering other options, since our needs are not being met at all, this far and certainly not in a respectful timeframe.
Update: it's now been 5 weeks with 4 cancellations and 1 unavailability. There aren't even a notifications of the cancellations, so each time I learn that an appointment is cancelled, I find out when we're supposed to be in the session.
This treatment is very debasing.
How can you claim to, "Deliver compassionate healthcare when you need it most", and then treat...
