Mazzone Ace Hardware — Attraction in New York

Went there today for some 220 grit sanding blocks. A gentleman greeted me at the door and didn’t hover while I walked in and browsed. I asked another employee to help finding the sanding blocks and they seemed genuinely happy to help. The cashier was also very friendly and helpful with my questions. I don’t know why my go-to has been the big box store, when this place is right in the neighborhood, but I will be coming here again for future home improvement purchases. Very organized, and helpful. The woman in the back knew where everything was. She was also very knowledgeable. She was able to have me test sizes prior to purchasing an entire set. The young lady at the register was pleasant and respectful. She was upbeat during the stressful covid time. She actually set me at ease with all that was going on. They had minimal customers in the store at one time. The good thing was whoever went into the store knew what they wanted and there was no browsing. That helped the outside line move quickly. I went to find an exchange for my broken faucet. They didn’t quite have a one with the exact matching length. But they were knowledgeable and suggested me to open it up and see what is broken. Later day I went back with the open faucet and they were very helpful to find a product that contained a transplantable part. They let me work on site a bit too in case I needed more things.
