I’ve been to this store a few times and they have a collection of very nice plushies, stationary, toys, etc. I’ve been happy with my purchases in the past. Yes, a little over priced but you get what you pay for.
I finally gave in to FOMO and purchased a Labubu for $80.00. I checked the code on box and doll. My Labubu is authentic. For weeks I have been trying to buy through the POP MART web site and I spend 20 minutes waiting for the count down, hit button to pay, states sold out. So MORNING GLORY has been the only place I can find it.
People complained about the owner. When I go, yes there is an employee watching. Even the owner watches. That store is very small and it’s easy to steal. I am sure they have lost a lot of merchandise to boosters. I live in Queensbridge and you should see what these guys and ladies steal. They hit Steinway, Broadway, Woodside, and more. I grew up going to shops like these and so I can’t help but feel a bit nostalgic whenever I come here. Yes, most of the items are priced on the higher end but it is fun...
Read moreThey have a ton of cute stationary and Sanrio/Pokemon/Pusheen stuff. I can understand what some reviewers mean about feeling watched/followed and that making it a slightly uncomfortable shopping experience. But, it's a small business with a lot of very tiny and easy to steal items. In my experience, it seemed as if they were watching everyone in the store, which was a pretty diverse mix of folks in terms of age/race/gender pretty closely. They were also very nice and friendly when people needed help finding stuff. If you want to shop in a place where you will be completely left alone, this isn't it, but you won't find this kind of selection at Target...
