From the moment I walked through the doors of voco Astoria, I knew I had found a gem in New York City. The entire experience was flawless from start to finish.
Check-In & First Impressions: The front desk team was incredibly welcoming, greeting me with genuine smiles and offering helpful local tips. The lobby is modern, stylish, and has that perfect “boutique luxury” vibe — not over the top, but every detail feels intentional and inviting.
Room Quality: My room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the linens were soft and fresh, and I loved the walk-in shower. Little touches like the mini-fridge, great lighting, and high-speed Wi-Fi made the stay even better. The soundproofing was excellent — I barely heard a thing from the hallway or street.
Amenities & Location: The 24/7 fitness center and market were convenient, and the location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Astoria, surrounded by amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and cultural spots, with quick subway access to Manhattan.
Service & Hospitality: Every staff member I interacted with — from housekeeping to the front desk — went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Before checking out, I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was genuinely kind and down-to-earth. They even surprised us with complimentary coffee “on the house” and bottled water to take with us for the road — a small gesture that meant a lot and showed how much they care. You can tell the team takes pride in their work, and it’s clear that great things are coming here.
Overall: voco Astoria is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re here for business, a getaway, or just exploring NYC, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll absolutely be returning and recommending it to...
Read moreI booked this hotel through my IHG member app. It was a last minute stay for a layover and the proximity to LGA and the rate was reasonable. I was skeptical because my IHG stats have been hit or miss depending on the city and specific location. However, I was optimistic given it is a new hotel.
Let me say this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. My travel had been exhausting and due to JFK’s ridiculously distant ride share pickup location it was an arduous process just leaving the airport. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted by Brian who had called me earlier to check in since I was arriving later in the evening. He was incredibly helpful offering dining options nearby and upgrading my room to ensure I could ret comfortably since I was inky there for a lay over. The room was spacious for a boutique NYC location. The decor is modern yet warm and cozy. The finishes are tasteful and the layout is thoughtfully functional. The room was perfectly temperature controlled which was great since it was a hot summer night. The hotel is eco-friendly which is refreshing. The linens were soft, fresh, and made for an incredibly comfy night. I was asleep in no time. I woke up in the morning and enjoyed a shower with great water pressure. I think I was most impressed by the fact that this hotel is right next to a train station and I did not hear a sound not any of the rumbling that NYC train proximity is known for. I would stay at this hotel again and again. Nicely done...
Read moreThis chic new hotel nestled in the heart of Astoria, Queens surpassed all expectations. The staff is warm and welcoming, especially Arianne, who made me feel at home. The rooms were fresh, clean, full of every amenity you can imagine. Wireless phone chargers! The Wi-Fi is great. I was able to cast from my smart phone to the TV very easily. The shower pressure was perfect. I did not lack for towels. What really amazed me was the excellent soundproofing, as I did not hear any other guests during my stay , nor did I hear the subway rolling by. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, friends and anyone who wants to vacation in New York City while avoiding the chaos of Times Square. It’s a 15 minute subway ride into Midtown Manhattan, and just a block away from a Myriad of amazing restaurants, bars, and shops. If you stay here, you have to check out the museum of the moving image. This is not my first Voco hotel, and it won’t be my last....
