A Breathtaking Spring Escape – New York Botanical Garden, Bronx

Stepping into the New York Botanical Garden during cherry blossom season feels like walking into a dream. I had the pleasure of visiting while the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and I can honestly say — it was pure magic.

The delicate pink and white petals danced in the breeze, creating a soft, almost surreal canopy above the pathways. Every turn revealed another picture-perfect view — ideal for photography, peaceful walks, or simply soaking in nature’s quiet beauty. Alongside the cherry blossoms, the magnolias were also in full bloom, adding bursts of white, blush, and lavender to the landscape. The combination was absolutely stunning — like nature’s own symphony of color and fragrance.

What truly makes this garden special is the care and thoughtfulness behind every section. From perfectly maintained paths to informative signage, it’s clear the NYBG is both a sanctuary and a celebration of botanical wonder.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a casual visitor, or someone simply looking for peace away from the city’s bustle, this place is a must-visit. It’s more than a garden — it’s an experience that soothes the soul.

Highly recommend visiting during spring — it’s an unforgettable sight. Five stars...

The NYBG is a world unto itself. In a teaming City of 8 million people it is a Garden of Eden. The various exhibits in the Enid Haupt Conservatory are outstanding. The Conservatory alone is beautiful. Right now the Orchid Show is featured. The grounds last week (the third week of April) saw the entire garden in bloom. Thousands of daffodils, cherry, magnolia, apple, and lilacs all in bloom. You can walk the entire garden over several hours or take the tram and get on and off at key stops. There are nooks and crannies which are a delight. Try the rock garden, the gardens near the Conservatory and the Conifer section. Look for the Redwoods. The Thain Family Forest is great in the Fall. There is a full service restaurant and a cafeteria, both more then adequate. There are restrooms in two locations and benches to sit and relish the beauty along the way. The NYBG is Outstanding. We visit every two to three weeks 10 months of the year. Become a member and enjoy this oasis of...

Amazing place to have a quality time with your family! Train show is a temporary prop every year in NYC and usually lasts during Christmas holidays. A little tip - if you have a Bronx Botanical Garden membership - you may visit Train Show with no extra payment,  plus you can bring a 1 family member or friend with no cost as well. The best time to visit is right by the opening since it wouldn't be so crowded. It does worth to bee seen, all the props and decorations are handmade from natural materials. Besides there are not only trains but a models of Big Apple most iconic places - bridges, parks, fountains, buildings, cathedrals etc. Some of them does not  exist anymore since they were demolished.  But you may observe them like from a history book at Train Show. You will be...
