Update Sept 2024 - It's a horrible place. Dusty abandoned. Very few owners these days use the park. Changed from two stars to one Poorly planned dog park. Fences are not high enough (I've seen two dogs thus far jump over into busy traffic), the gravel is tough on the dog paws, there's a sewage pipe directly in the center, which often stinks Sadly, this is the best option locally

Nice place to run your dog, but not the best spot for humans, as there is very little shade, no tables and very few benches. The park on 86th is much more human friendly. But there are dogs here quite often and it's a big spot for letting your dog run. Has a water fountain for people and dogs.

Great dog run. Have been regulars for 2 years. The people that visit are caring and drama free. If the dogs act out, the owners usually intervene. Conveniently located near the highway and outer edge of the park.

This Dog Run isent very nice. The city spent or is spending more money on fixing up a pavilion that's never used and a skate park that is used some times. The Dog Run has no benches minus the folding chairs people in the community leave there which are falling apart and no water fountain which was originally supposed to be there. The grass is dead, the fences have holes which once again the people in the community fix, and there is glass fragments in it. The parks department seems to have forgotten about this park which could have been really nice...

Nice area and larger then most dog parks in the city. However the surface is the worst in the city. It's some kind of crushed cement. It's filthy and when it's windy it blows all over like a dust storm. Who ever designed the run never had a dog, dogs like running on grass not crushed rock. The surface used to make my dog pads bleed I had to wrap them so she play there. Pleas to the local assembly person to remodel the run the run have...

I'm afraid I just don't like the surface of the run area. Call. It's sand is to give it too much credit, it's coarser and sharper than that. I love having a place I can take my dog and let her off leash people there that I've met have been pretty nice. But they're going to do something about the surface and make it more friendly to dog feet. And while I'm here and on the subject, there are some people who just don't clean up after...
