What I asked vs what I got. The perfect example of this. I’m not used to going places to get them done but yesterday I felt like it. TERRIBLE MISTAKE. The guy didn’t even know what he was doing, repeated each nail like 4 times trying to get the ā€œrightā€ design. I wasn’t paying much attention because they’re always so busy that I thought he knew what he was doing. Along with that, the colors weren’t even the right ones. It took him two hours to do this and I was already rushing to leave. The beginning price was $109 which is insanely high for what the service ended up being. After that, they automatically charge a $15 tip for the person that took care of you. Who is my case had no idea what he was doing. On top of that, they charge $10 to use cards due to atm problems and do not have a sign that says cash preferably or cash only. I ended up paying $135 for a set I was not satisfied with and was not even close to what I asked. I didn’t have the time to wait longer and wanted to give it a chance today (the next day) I called to speak to the manager to see what can be solved in my case and a guy picked up claiming there was no manager today. I decided to stop by to get it solved right away, but the service was declined, and claimed I needed to pay again. Customer service skills and clarity on the business are lacking in this workplace and I do this so it does not happen to somebody else. He did a great job on the nail, but the designs and response to make the client happy ruined a great job.

Rushed and ruined my birthday nails 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔. I come here often for a gel manicure but I will never come here again. Hellen rushed my nails and then had the nerve to say its my fault! Why as a PROFESSIONAL are you making all my nails different shapes and sizes? maybe if she spent less time talking to her friends and more time focused on my nails, She would see they are all DIFFERENT shapes. I could not see my nails being done as there is a plastic separator between us. I even showed her a picture/video of what I wanted….Simple square french, instead I got multiple sized upside down triangle nails?? The entire process was a rush and I paid $128!!!!!!(Called my bank to dispute) Truly the worst experience ever and I made an appointment. LOL Smh bad customer service and the nail techs are not concerned about the outcome of your nails AT ALL. Too rushed and my nails look like they already need a fill 🄓🄓 Do yourself a favor and do not come here if you want a good job done.

I’m not one to share my experience or write reviews online but this one is a must. The service I got was a manicure and pedicure. I got a white pedicure and I without noticing they only did one layer of white. If you’ve had white nails before you know it tends to need 2 or 3. They didn’t clean the edges of my pedicure which made it look worse. I relaxed, tried to assume it was just a bad experience but then we moved on to my manicure. I showed them a picture and they insisted that I had gel done. I explained I don’t like gel due to previous experiences. They moved on to doing my manicure but you could just notice how annoyed they were. None of my edges were cleaned, they didn’t ask me to stand up to rinse my hand or to cut my nails (I had to request it). One hour later, I have two nails chipping off and a disgusting pedicure and manicure which I’ll take off tomorrow. $50 lost and not to mention they wanted to chard me $10+ for a simple mini heart on a finger.

****++++++Danger+++++++ *

A review from my visit last week.

Paradise nails and Spa 2 is not where you should go. I’m so infuriated as I’m typing this review. This place will shut down, a matter of time, these illegal practices are not sustainable.

The place is dirty and they reuse tools without disinfecting them before using them on other people. The tools to brush the feet is the same way, soap swish around and on to the next person, a girl came in because she got fungus from them and her feet were bizarre they tried to shush her and take her away from us and offered her a discount for the fungus which I imagine was not properly dried before putting nail polish on, or something else, her nail was black. They literally forced her to paint them over and told her it will go away and that’s not how it works. That’s is so harmful and dangerous. This place will overcharge you, if you haven’t been here before or other nails salons you’ll feel like that’s normal. I was in my seat when a woman was charged 35$ to soak nails off $35 to soak nails offf?? and another woman was charged 26$ to soak off acrylic nails in order to do a full set. What’s the difference you say, the darkness in skin. She was then charged for acrylic 38$ and on top of that she was charged $32 for gel nail polish all separate charges that are not consistent in my experience. if you want to file your nails down that’s also 5-20$ just to file depending on who you are and the nails were medium short. all of these charges depending on the person. If your a person of color and specifically a black person who isn’t just about to agree to their bogus terms which are made up on the spot and not posted anywhere in the shop, please go somewhere else and run, they try to appease some customers but that’s as collateral damage but they are not invested in the communities they prey on.

Also none of these prices are posted in the shop at all. I’ve been here when they told a woman were are going to update and post it in the business but a month later nothing and they charge people different prices. Look at the pictures posted clearly, The work is cracked and chipped when they finish.

This has got to be one of the worst spots to go to it isn’t a relaxing experiencing. By all means please go and visit and give them your business but when it falls apart, remember someone tried to warn you. To top all of this off ive had them lock the door on me after telling me I have to pay a $20 tip and I said that’s optional if I feel it’s needed she locked the door tied her hair up and grabbed the acetone and I was in shock at this point she then goes to say we can do this two ways the police or the boss and I told her to move out of the way. I know for a fact that it’s an illegal practice to hold someone hostage requesting a tip and threatening physical and chemical violence because the work is subpar. I know I’m not the only person who experienced this because it was to casual for them to do this. These places have gotten really comfortable threatening violence on people of color. I’ve seen it done at this shop to other people and thought to myself well maybe I don’t know the whole story. I’m sure there is something else to it although I hear the disconnect around a tip and the amount of it as well was very manipulative and condescending staff.. they will gaslight you so much you’d be questioning your name. When it happened all those times i said well it won’t be me I do this and that but being courteous and respectful doesn’t prevent you from being threatened with violence.

You can make a difference by reporting them at the better business bureau and commission on human rights if you’ve experienced this from them. This is absurd I just can’t believe she had some liquid she was ready to throw on my face. Please be aware it could happen to you or a loved one and the damages could be irreversible.

Ps I didn’t entertain her threats at all I paid over 100$ and told her I decide what the tip is and I...

If I could give zero stars I would.

These people are extremely racist and they seem very uncomfortable with black skin as soon as you walk through the door.

I requested my old nails be soaked off and they said IT WOULD BE $20 FOR THIS. There was no posted pricing for this service, so I felt that they overcharged me. I HAVE NEVER PAID OR HEARD OF A SOAK BEING $20.

THEY CHARGE $25 EXTRA JUST TO PAINT YOUR NAILS A COLOR (WHICH IS NORMALLY INCLUDED IN THE PRICE) ON TOP OF THE $65 THAT THEY CHARGE TO DO YOUR NAILS

SOAKING OFF AND WRAPPING MY NAILS AND ADDING A COLOR CAME UP TO $110

THEY ARE ROBBING PEOPLE!

WHEN I ASKED TO PAY WITH MY CARD THE PRICE JUMPED FROM $110 to $147!!!!!!! SHE SAID BECAUSE OF TAXES AND FEES AND A REQUIRED $17 TIP

I SAID THAT WASNT THE PRICE I WAS TOLD AND THAT I ONLY HAVE $110 AND A TIP IS NOT A REQUIREMENT

THE WOMAN RAN TO THE DOOR AND LOCKED ME INSIDE, SHE TOOK OFF HER COAT AND TIED UP HER HAIR.

THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT BLACK CUSTOMERS

THE SUPERVISOR STOOD THERE AND WATCHED THE ENTIRE THING AND DIDNT SAY A WORD TO HIS EMPLOYEE

SHE SAID ā€œTHIS IS WHY I TELL YOU NOT TO LET THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE IN HEREā€

SHE ATTEMPTED TO FIGHT ME AND ROB ME

I HAVE BEEN HERE AND PAID AND TIPPED TWICE BEFORE…I AM A SUCCESSFUL BLACK WOMAN WITH A CAREER

THE DISRESPECT AND TREATMENT I RECEIVED FROM THIS BUSINESS BECAUSE THE COLOR OF MY SKIN IS DISGRACEFUL, HOSTILE, AND ILLEGAL.

PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING BUSINESSES THAT ARE RACIST AND HOSTILE TOWARDS...
