Pastosa Ravioli - Bensonhurst (Flagship) — Attraction in New York

I grew up as a proud Italian in the 70s & 80s. I lived in BensonHurst down the block from joe pisa pork store another amazing gem but unfortunately he closed. My parents would go in snow storms around Christmas to buy their boxed ravioli with white string around the box. They would also buy their pre made pizza crust & pizza dough. I was 5yrs old making pizza with there pre made pizza crust,fresh mozzarella,capers & don pepino pizza sauce. What memories it was. As a kid i could eat a whole dozen ravioli by myself. They are the king when it comes to ravioli there is not a place i lived that can come close to there delicious everything they sold. Pastosa Ravioli is #1 I live in horrible Indiana now so there is no Italian food out here unfortunately. Definitely miss this old ravioli gem it was a part of my childhood memories!! I’ve tried honestly this is one of my favorite stores but the last few visits unfortunately terrible! The must have new staff and they never follow what I say with cold cuts ! I say very very thin I will not eat thick anything! I think as the customer paying they could do as I ask ! I’ve let this go over the last month but I was just in a few days ago and again they did not listen ! Also there soups are a let down and I will post pictures of the broccoli cheddar soup as they call it which basically has no cheddar net and chunks of broccoli lol! I've been shopping at Pastosa Ravoli since the 1970's! First store on Ave.N I now shop at Pastosa on New Utric Ave. & Bay Ridge P'kway. All people who work there are very nice & go out of there way to help you. Joe, AKA "YEAH BABBY" Is a great representative of pastosa! Now down to the "food' Still the best pasta, ravolies,stuff shells etc. There meats fresh & only the best of ingredients, meats,cold cuts & cheeses! I could name everything I love it all!!! They give you samples which are always delishous. Pastosa is the best Italian specialty's shop in NY, Brooklyn, Staten Island & NEW Jersey! Charlie use to work at the Bay Ridge P'kway shop.
