This used to be a decent Library at one point. Now if you come here you will nearly face the same problem as in the Milestone Park. Over here different people(they seem to know each other) but within the same type as in the Park. Here though it is not Cards or other incentives. Here it is simply noise of some form of non-traditional chess hitting the tables, smashing the wooden chess pieces against the wooden tables,(play now and "we will sort it out later I guess.") If it is not the chess pieces it is them screaming or making loud noise. As you try to use the Computer or read. However, a few times I was guilty of talking loud. I was scolded by others to keep it down. I did. These people are making noise far exceedingly those I ever made. Nobody (other patrons) confronts them again it is normal here.
Perhaps if you need a Library to study, read, use the computer, ability to hear your own thoughts or other things this library is simply an extension of the Milestone Park Zoo. The experience is nerve wrecking with these people having no respect for others. They literally walk into the Library, take a table and as if they are entering the Las Vegas.
I will be researching if sadly a further away library still has maintained the characteristics for normal use. I will also miss most of the staff as they truly try to help the patrons at the library.
P.S: Have you seen the park lately how they take up the whole bench? and place a blue tent around the bench so that nobody can sit down? While they conduct "business" with tables and cards. Oh yeah, and they piss right into the private house driveway. I seen it with my own eyes. Poor owner, and no shelter so to speak just those parks people entering private property.
Look at them stand on the Benches/Tables on top of each other.
How's that for civilized good people? Looks like a third world...
Read moreI like the programs here--i occassionall come to a book discussion here and there are about ten regulars, i've gone to computer security classes here where the guy was so good he was promoted, and to some American history workshops. There is a room downstairs for these programs that is spacious yet could comfortable fit 30 people.
The general 1st floor section can get crowded (especially between 2-5) and there is the general library issue that the library is not the sanctuary from noise that it used to be. Forgettabout it if there's a chatty cathy on the cellphone (although her name is probably svetlana and she may be borderline homeless). Not one of the worst places to go if you want a quiet place to work or study but also not one...
Read moreFour stars! This library has a lot of caring staff. They have lots of activities for children that are fun, yet educational. To be frank, after the upgrade they made a few months ago, the library looks much more appealing. Not only do they have a bunch of programs to keep you entertained every couple of hours, they have many books that are being renewed every so often, with new books adding to it's vast collection. My only complaint is the computers, which are kind of outdated. Honestly, even though many kids come to the library to play shooter games and cause some disruptions, updating the computers and reducing the restrictions...
