Updates in 2016: It has been a year since I wrote the first review. Both teenagers have earned their first dan black belts earlier this year. Instead of getting bored with repetitive breaking and kicking techniques, they are now learning new and advanced poomsae and combinations, building on top of the foundation.

The school is very adaptive in terms of adjusting their class schedule, ensuring their students get to attend the classes that fit their respective skill levels. Master Yusuf is such a wonderful mentor. Students are not afraid of him, and they are willing to listen to him. This dynamic is very beneficial for both staff and students. (Original review in 2015) It has been over two years since my teenage kids joined this wonderful Taekwondo dojang. As a parent I am amazed to witness how the school transforms its students in both physical and personal aspects. Master Yusuf and his dedicated team of instructors do not conduct run-of-the-mill classes, they make sure to provide variety of training to expand students' capacities and skill sets. Strong bonds have been developed among students, supporting each other to advance and continue their Taekowndo journeys. We started our 4 year old daughter here around 7 months ago. Despite her age, Master Yusuf, his teaching staff and the other students were so welcoming. Then school is open from 1pm to 9.30pm Mon-Fri and earlier on Saturday, Closed on Sunday. Classes run at 45 minutes and the weekly program is designed so that you can easily come either in the afternoon or early evening. The school offers regular belt promotion tests. The teaching staff remember every students name and are very welcoming to new students. Lastly, to add to the sense of community, Master provides parties on Halloweeen, Christmas etc, where the kids get to socliwlize in a less formal environment. The best Taekwondo school one can find in New York! Master Yusuf treats his students with kindness and love as if they are his own. He distribute his time evenly to students and earns their respect. Students at this school don't only become team members but they become family to each other. The staff is amazing! They are great role models to the students at Champions Taekwondo. When you send your children to this school you don't need any worries. your children will be safe here. one can learn respect, discipline and socialize all at once.
