This 325 years old farm is a gift to the entire queens and NYC community. It’s free, has history, animals, nature, special events, a library and a cute store. So much stuff!
We live nearby, so we are there all the time. Many times, especially off season, you’ll have the place all to yourself. The farm is always beautiful, no matter the season. My favorite is when it snows or during leaf-swept fall. You get a sense of what it was like to live back then.
My only recommendation for the farm is to stay open later in the day. It closes by 5, which means that working people can’t visit it with their kids...

Read moreWent to see the Lighted Lantern exhibits. So beautiful. Lanterns made in so many various shapes such as mythical creatures, birds, trees, houses. Too many to list. Some interactive exhibits also. It runs to Jan. 8 th. Another 'must see' in my opinion. Free Parking available....
