Queens Public Library at Glen Oaks — Attraction in New York

I normally do not take the time to write reviews, however this felt very important to mention. I have two toddlers and I recently have been at the children's librarian Summer program and it was amazing. My children loved the arts and crafts projects and the wonderful collection of books that this library has at the children's department. It has a broad variety of colorful genre books and if the book is not available than the librarian, I believe her name is Lidia and she always provides the time to request the book when asked upon. She always goes above and beyond to satisfy the customer's and the kids love her. As a mother, its always rewarding to see a rich program, especially when the admission is free, but interesting at the same time. The children's room is nicely quiet and a comfortable atmosphere for my kid's to build their foundation of a learning environment. I am very pleased with the staff and my kids always pull me to go see the next program shows whenever possible, and are always excited to attend Lidia's creative and fun programs. The blonde librarian is so rude. She told me that the tables with computers are for people using the computers and continued to stand over me while I packed my things. I asked her is she going to stand there until I move she stated yes I have to turn on the computers (they were already on except the one I sat in front of). She said I can go to those tables which were already at capacity due to social distancing. As I walked away she followed me to her desk and loudly told her coworker what happened without turning on the computer she...

Clean, modern, adequate selection, interesting events for all ages. Decent amount of computers to use, printers, scanners, etc. Most employees are friendly and super helpful...except for one. One of the workers is rude and seems annoyed to be there, to help, to answer any questions, etc. She would be happier working at the dmv. If she left, I would give this branch 5 stars!
