I have been visiting this location since a very long time. I have always brought friends here to this location, but I had a very bad experience recently that I will be taking my business elsewhere. I was charged for a "hookah head refill for $7" for two of the hookahs on the table totaling a charge of $14. I had brought this up to them and they stated that "Riz" is busy when indeed he was not. I had ordered two MVP hookah and the hookah was not hitting right. I had informed them about this and it took them over 30 minutes to send someone to change this out. This is unacceptable. I was told that they are "short staffed" and this was the same excuse that was told to me before. I understand that a business is short staffed at times, but you cannot let the customer suffer especially if they are being charged for "Gratuity" and a "COVID Surcharge". I was not told about being charged for a "hookah head refill" for $7 when indeed I did not ask for a hookah head replacement. I did not know that a business would be soo clever to charge for the cost of the hookah, charge for "hookah head refill" when the hookah was not hitting right and burned out prematurely. I had brought this up and Harris came up to help. He was absolutely rude and Riz was aware of the $7 charge for each hookah and he could not provide a justification for this. This is bad business practice and I will be taking my business elsewhere and whoever I used to bring to this place. Please be careful of what you are being charged for as they are notorious for charging you for things and not providing you with the proper services. This is sad especially in...
Read moreSo im not one to write reviews, ever. But after looking for a solid Hookah Lounge to go on a date to, I came across Majilis. After reading all the reviews I saw every review say either amazing food, amazing hookah, amazing music, amazing service or all of them. Except for one reviewer who complained about the only girl who waits the tables saying how rude she was and what not. Disregarding the one bad reviewer I went to this place solely based on the reviews. I got seated right away, they brought me a hookah right away. I didn't get any hot foo, just fries and hummus but it was still really good and I saw other people eating the Hot plates which looked really good we just weren't that hungry. I saw some people playing this really big weird board game and I was interested so I asked our waitress what it was and to maybe explain to us what the game was. This is the same waitress who got a bad review because she was the only girl there. She stayed with us for at least 5 minutes or so explaining the ENTIRE game to us very nicely and patiently. And after she came around every once in a while asking how we were doing with the game and seeing if we had any questions or wanted more service. She was very nice despite the reviewers bad thoughts and she made the experience that much better because we got to play a new game from Pakistan we just learned. I don't usually go to Hookah Lounges but this one I would for sure recommend to anyone to go to with friends or on a date and I would go again. Really chill for either honestly. They have cards and board games for you to play just ask. I was very happy with my...
Read moreUnfortunately, this place has gone downhill since they fully renovated and expanded. I used to come here years ago before all the crowd was attracted to the aesthetic and the vibe.
They used to be a simple hookah bar with some great options for food and casual drinks. With the renovations and post pandemic, I don't feel the staff can handle all the tables. There were even tables empty near me, but still no staff available to address needs.
The hookah was not good and overpacked since the moment it came out and it took over an hour and a half of total waiting time to come get it fixed. Eventually, it was extremely off putting. There was a manager present that was smoking hookah with another party without checking on tables or even looking if anyone needed assistance. It seems like they are distracted and not prioritizing the satisfaction of their patrons. The experiences have not been good on multiple occasions.
The menu used to have visuals and a book of great options years ago. Now, it is a simple laminated mat with plain writing. Unfortunately, that may be minimalist design, but it's also confusing for those who are unfamiliar with what they offer.
After years of coming year and at one time boasting about how great this place was, I will no longer return with my friends. There are plenty of other hookah bars around and they would have to make serious improvements to more than just the decorations in order to get back to what...
