This park is great, especially if you get there in the morning. About 11a-12p it starts to get a little crowded, but the vibes are still pretty good. Lots of fun stuff to skate, great flow to the park. One of the best features of the park is that it’s like 5 steps to the beach. It’s easy to skate > beach > skate > beach all day. One thing about parking, DO NOT park on the side of the street that the park is on. The signage sucks there and it’s a $115 ticket. I parked there and the cops ticketed literally 8 cars in a row. Park across the street or in one of the lots close by.

Another new skatepark in NYC. Rockaway now has 3 concrete skateparks. Interesting north/south flow similar to Riverside, but without the East/west. Fun bowl-mini ramp thing that seems to get skated more as a mini ramp. All your classic 2020 obstacles some super low. When we were here lots of little kids on all modes of transportation...just keep your eyes open and you will be fine. You bet we are stopping at New Park pizza on the way back to Brooklyn. Beach views, no shade.

The original skate park was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy and this park was perfectly planned and designed with input from the local skater community. Fun place, with wide variety of interest and crowded on certain days. Plenty of handrails, stairsets, banked ramps and more. This is the best place to blow off some steam and enjoy the beach.

Rockaway Skate Park, located at Shore Front Parkway at 91st Street just off the boardwalk in Far Rockaway, Queens, NYC, is a popular destination for skateboarding enthusiasts. Unfortunately, it is currently closed due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. However, the nearby Far Rockaway Skate Park, situated at Beach 11th Street off Seagirt Blvd near the Rockaway Beach Promenade, remains open from dawn to dusk. This unsupervised concrete park features stairs, rails, ledges, bowled corners, and a volcano, all designed for a smooth skateboarding experience. The edges are metal-covered for smoother grinds, and there’s convenient parking adjacent to the park. Scooters and inline skates are also welcome, making it a versatile space for all...

The park is built beautifully. One of the smoothest floors in a skate part that I've skated on. There are lots of differing obstacles, perfect for skaters of different styles. You need a bowl? You got it. Need some stairs? You got it. Rails? Got it.

I see a handful of events hosted here during the summertime, and it's really cool to see a lot of people gather. The surrounding area outside is also really fun to cruise around if the park is more active, not even including the beach over the boardwalk if you need...
