Hi my name is raymond i'm one of the surf instructors for Season surf school. A little about myself. I've been surfing For 43 years and teaching surfing for over 20. I've taught surfing up and down the east coast west coast and in Hawaii. For all the schools I've taught for Season Surf school is at the top of my list, especially for New York surfing. Seasons surf school is a smaller school and with that you get more one on one instruction. You definitely learn more about surfing at Seasons then any other surf school here in Rockaway. Season surf school Teaches you all you need to learn so if you decide to go surfing on your own , you have a better idea of what you're doing And where you're supposed to paddle out. Not like all the other surf Schools that are bigger and all about just pushing you into waves and not really teaching you much. Their classes are way bigger, So you don't get as much one on instructions like you do at season surf school. I came to Seasons Surf School with about a year of surf experience under my belt. After just one lesson with Dillon, I was catching waves consistently. A year later (and many surf + skate lessons deep), I’m confidently catching waves and working on basic turns—something I never thought I’d be doing this soon.

Dillon genuinely cares about your growth as a surfer. He takes the time to talk with you—before, during, and after each session—not just about what you’re doing right or wrong, but about the ocean, board choice, positioning, surf theory, and safety. Dillon is a phenomenal instructor. He’s attentive, 100% engaged (no matter how many lessons you’ve taken with him!) and has the special kind of intuition that instructors have when they’ve grown up on a surf board. He has that great teaching ability where if a student keeps making the same mistakes — he’ll find different ways of relaying useful corrections, until something locks in. He’s so chill and easy to work with— sometimes I take for granted how sophisticated and skilled his teaching style is! Also, I LOVE surfing in the winter and early spring with him— I think it’s the best time to surf.
